Yellowing leaves 1 month veg

Hey everyone, my plants have been yellowing and the tips looked abit burnt, the burnt spots went away 4 days ago, but the leaves still look like there drying up and yellowing.


Plant Name: Apallo 11x (Erdpurt x danish passion)

Born From Seed

1 Month old

Under a 400w CMH light

Hieght from top of plants: 2 feet

Pots: i think there about 5 gallons, transplanted them cause i thought they were root bound, i had them in 2L pepsi bottles before, and saw the roots all jamming up. ***MAYBE MY PROBLEM WAS ROOT BOUND??*****

Transplanted my plants to the bigger pots Apirl 5.

Soil:
Bought from Walmart:
Plant Smart: Potting Soil(for all plants) (Only had this soil in the 2L's)
Then i added some Vermiculite when i transplanted about 1 to 3 soil ratio
Watering/Nutes:
Flora Nova Grow (7-4-10) used only once.

Watered about every 3 days

think the problem is the shitty soil. it sounds like a nitrogen def or a mag def.
any pics? i dont want to give wrong info..

I've used Plant Smart from wally world mixed it with 30% perlite. I'm actually reusing it with some used promix. It does have a little funky smell but no problem growing in it.

if you had burnt tips that was probably from to much plant food (if so) in soil its easy to just flush the soil with water to get rid of the built up salts or you may need some more

still loking for my camera cord.... There looking better though, still yellow on the side of the leaves.

yellow side could be a magnesium def. really common....
if the tips are burnt id flush the pot with water...
sorry sirgrass i hate wallmart there products suck. soil is full of chemical stimulants...
not what mj wants. the promix is good but is it the BX? promix from what i know is a soiless, nutrient void medium...probably a good mix with the wally soil and perlite.
id flush you your pot with a gallong or two of water with some epsom salts added...maybe 2 tablespoons for 2 gallons....
if u have a sensical- or cal-mag solution add that its way better.

i have nothing, just started growing, i only grabbed the light grow food/bloom food and yah.. thats it. Maybe i should hit up a hydrostore.... What should i grab?(only 20mins away so i dont need stuff untill i do)

id get a bottle of sensical- AN its the best secondary minieral suppliment out. should be cheap too... 20$ +/-
if your on a budget get a good TEA...
ive never used floranova in soil, but it works well in RW/hydroton.
if your going to flower soon, think about getting a bottle of big bud.(AN) and a small pack of bud-blood(should get 40grams for 20$ or less) its a great flower stimulant. for the switch.

regular and steady feeds now, id skip the grow nute (2ft already) and hit them up with a good bloom/ flower nute suited to your meduim/ soil. Check for spider mite (last chance to spray).

repot into final pot size feed well and youll have few problems mABY THINK ABOUT SETTING UP A RESIVOUR and pump on a timer then feeds are taken care of, just dont let the res run dry ( each light will use about 70litres per week) .

Consider tipping if you need to sex before flower while keeping plants from stretching upwards. Btw yellow leaves rarely get better look for new bright green foliage at the tips of plants as a guide to plant health in recent days..


a pic is really needed your soil may actually be ferted what kind of soil are you using? O dont know Walmart soils

Plants are looking much more greener. Looks like there one happy little family. I belive it might have been a def in plant food, 2 days after feeding and there looking sweet.
