Yellowing fan leaves

Hey everybody

Im having some trouble here, so help me out if you know the solution.

Dinafem dinamex auto fem strain, only one plant, balcony grow.

Everything was perfect until a week ago, when i noticed yellowing.

Plant is about 47 days old, soil PH around 7, i water with 6.5, runoff is around 6.9 - 7.1

I put dolomite lime when preparing the soil and started ferilizing when the first flowers started to appear about 10-12 days ago.

1/4 dose and been uping it very lightly every other watering, now its at half dose.

I suspected that shes hungry and eating its own fan leaves so i gave her full dose yesterday.

I had some trouble with mites but its under control cuz i picked the bastards every morning with tweezers.

I sprayed last night foliar epsom salts and little nutes.

I dont think the roots are bound , its a container of 12 L (3-4 gal)

The yellowing is only affecting fanleaves, from bottom to the 3rd flor, the top 15 inches is uneffected, but that might change if i dont remedy.

Hate to see a healthy girl go yella before her time.

Any thoughts?

peace

ps. i had trouble uploading pics so heres a seperate link:

There seems to be a lot of shading going on in the canopy. If a plant
is too shaded down below. Those leaves will suffer in time. Get more
light on here if you can. Also, you didn't need to put dolomite lime as
a pH of 6.5 is about perfect as one can get in soil.

I also notice some residues from your foliar feeding.
In the future follow foliar feeding with a pure water
rinse the next day. Dirty leaves are not the best.

As for nutrients go slowly with the nitrogen increase.

Good Luck

Tnx for reply,

the plant is getting about 9 hours straight non blocked sun daily, so thats not a problem.
And this is the time when the day is longest where i live in the mediterenian so light is plentiful.

Dolomite lime was mixed with soil before planting the seed.
I will rinse her with pure water tonight.

anything else somebody noticed?

Those leaves are not getting much light, so the plant sheds them. Break them off, and stop worrying. The rest of the plant looks good. Good luck. -granger

tnx man for the input but light isnt a problem, the pot doesnt stay on the floor all the time, its on the table where it gets plenty of direct sun. It was just for pics so everybody cant see where i live:biggrin:

Hey everybody else, thanks for your thoughts

In the last 5 days i watered her 3 times since it is was hot as hell and 2 times of those 3 i gave her full dose of flower nutes.

Also i sprayed the leaves a couple of times with epsom salt and crushed egg shells (which i left in water for 24h) to make sure it isnt a Magnesium or Calcium def.

The symptoms are still going on and she lost 4-6 big fan leaves and the yellowness is still spreading, but on the other hand the buds are growing nicely and she seems happy up top reaching for the sky.

Anything new?

Oh and i forgot
also , the yelowness is not yet affecting the smaller leaves near buds, just the bigger ones.
And she has about 20 days before harvest, i just hope the buds dont go yellow by then.

I think you're fine, if you say you're 20 days before harvest, since I guess you're gonna do some water only the last week or so. It's normal for the plant to cannibalize on itself towards the end of its life, as far as I know (rookie alert! :)). The rest of the plant looks fine so just feed her without going overboard.

Hi there,
You actually want your plant to turn yellow when approching harvest.
In my experiance harvesting a perfect looking plant is not what will give you the best smoking material.
The yellowing is a natural process you should not try to stop it.
