Have considerable yellowing of fan leaves leaving veins green until finally turning all yellow, eventually dropping off.I am aware that leaves will yellow as flowering girl feeds on them but this happened way to early about 20-24 days.Plants are otherwise healthy.Thought some cal mag was in order but maybe too late in flower. Also having water take up problem in several plants.Pots remain heavy(moist)while the others are getting light as they should.Had some nute curl and a few burnt tips back around 20 days.Any advise would be greatly appreciated.I am stumped.

the only advice i may be able to give has to do with your nutrients. first off where did you come up with your nutrient solution? as in why do you use 4 ml of micro and 5 ml of bloom? if you are using the micro and bloom of the GH flora series why not just go with the lucas formula? 8 ml of micro and 16 ml of bloom per gal. i have been using this formula with a little bit of added cal mag and coco as my medium, i have had great results. i also water once a day with my nutrient solution every day.

anyways i don't know if this will help at all, but it just seems like you might be under feeding.

BUB,I used HEADS formula which is an adaptation of the Lucas formula.I liked it because it errs on the light side and I can use my left over G H .I am also dealing with water that is approx 115 ppm. I wondered about under nuting too but I had some clawing going on and stepped nutes down from 6ml and 9ml.Core said these girls where pretty sensitive so I backed off a little.Could the clawing be a result of a ph problem or a symptom of something else?.The ph has hovered around 5.8 -6.2 for the entire grow. What else will cause clawing.I was feeding every watering at the first of flowering and then I backed off when a few got just a little tip burn. The water take up thing is certainly nute related.I am sure you are right there.I got good gain on the colas hairing and plumping up nicely.Man I have never had this water thing before.Just got me stumped.Must be operator error somwhere?Should I hold off water on the wet plants until they dry out and then hit them with nutes. Thanks BTW for the come back.Peace.

More then anything a pic would be tons of help since most of your report seems to be in check.

sounds like your nutrients are working for you, so long as your not seeing any deficiencies?

i'm not too positive what causes the "claw" i have had it a few times as well, never really figured out why. but it also didn't last very long. i just gave them a good flush, and shortly after, the "claw" cleared up. my Ph stays around 5.8, have you checked the Ph of the coco? not just the run off.

i would honestly never let the coco dry out between waterings, because i have heard from a lot of growers that it damages roots pretty badly. i don't honestly know if it's true because i never let mine dry out.

one of my friends that just started growing, started with coco and he was having the same water problem. the pots would stay wet for up to a week or so at a time, without being watered. we figured out it was from lack of air circulation, and very cold temps, we think. once he got some air flow and a heater to help with the temps, the plants started drinking more water.

anyways i don't know if any of what i'm saying is going to help, but i just thought i'd give my 2 cents. hopefully you get this figured out, or someone else chimes in with some more help.

Get you some pics up in a few. Thanks guys.I am torn here I have yellowing leaves which I agree looks like the girls are feeding off the leaves. But the clawing would suggest too much nutes.Lock out of some type?

Yellowing?

Clawing?

It looks like your ph is off and by the cuping on the leafs on the outside edge that you have them close to the light or your room is gettin hot. Thats heat for sure on the edge's. That yellow looks like lack of nitrogen but looks like they look when flushin. Maybe Stitch well visit , I'm just the resident flunky when shes not in LOL. Also looks like to much food by the burnt tips. I say flush them with ph'd water and start your program over and 50% nutes when you water and flush with clean water once a week

Yes your right on with the heat I had some issues with my outtake fan about three weeks ago and the room got pretty hot for a couple of days, forgot that.I also let them get pretty dry a few times as well, coulnt be helped.Wonder if the combination of the heat and dry root zone zapped the roots?Hence the water take up issue.Drying out caused nute salt build up too.I watch the ph religiously on additions and runnoff but I have never phed the coco?Didnt know you could with a standard meter?Never got over 6-6.2 never under 5.8..I am certain this is a heat thing now that you said that.Maybe because of the heat clawing and twisting I thought "overnutes" ? I PMed Stitch will wait and let her weigh in I would really like to hear her take.I think you nailed one thing for me Zoo.Thanks for taking the time to look at the girls. You help make the forum a positive brother.Keep up the good work in the Zoo Cage.
