Yellow new growth

Hi all, so I'm having an issue where all the new growth on my plants are turning bright yellow. Old Bottom growth is fine, but slight purple on petioles (it is a blueberry cross though).

I have them in FFOF that I cut with perlite, a few tablespoons dolomitic lime per 3 gal container, and a neutral seedling mix (about 25%). This is fourth week in the FFOF and I just fed them for the first time last night using roots organic player pack. This included some calmag powder applied as a dressing. They are in a tent under a 600MH tuned down to 450w. Temps are about 65-82, rh about 40-60.

Any ideas? Sulfur or calcium? Or a lockout? pH of my water has been about a 5.5 or 6 judging by litmus paper. Runoff seems to be the same. I ordered a ph pen but haven't gotten it yet.

It's worse (brighter yellow) than the pics give it justice.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Id honestly wait to see how they react to the first feeding, I dont really see anything alarming.. Keep posting updates over the next week on their condition, should see some of that yellowing harden off..

Will do thanks. Yea I got alarmed because of how bright the yellow is. Hopefully the feeding will help we will see, I'll post updates.

Pictured is the NL x blueberry but it's starting on the sour diesel blueberry now as well.

Here's hoping

So I wanted to update this for informational purposes. it's three days after I gave the initial feeding. Yesterday she was still extremely yellow at the new growth, almost white in some spots. I gave them all a foliar spray of kelp extract (roots organic ancient amber) and this morning she is showing great recovery! Still light green but much better than before.

I will post if anything changes but she is much happier now. As am I

I think you figured it out with the kelp extract.

Some very fast growing plants will emerge yellow & turn green within a few hours as the tissues gain chlorophyll.

Why are you adjusting ph to hydro figures and using FFOF?

Just leave it alone .... another plant destined to be loved to death

Yea I'm too nervous to do anything but eater her right now (when she needs it).

She's the smallest of the litter (bottom left) and still shows bright yellow but I want to wait it out. One thing which is crazy is her growth pattern. She has mutations in a few spots probably from the blueberry lineage (dj short). Check out the one growth tip with like 2 or three heads and a spiral of secondary growth spots right below it. Hard to see but it's there.

Sorry I meant water her not eat her hahah.

You need to correct the pH. I would flush with water ph'd to 6.8 .

The pH range you need for soil/soiless is 6.5-6.8.

Good luck keep us posted.

Well I finally got my ph meter and calibrated it.

My water reads 8.2, and runoff 6.6 so the root zone must be approximately 6.3? Is this right to assume?

The state of the plants is the same but the leaves do turn green as they mature and the rest of the plant looks very healthy. Maybe I'm just looking into this too much? It's my first grow so although I've researched a lot I don't have experience.

everything looks great keep doing what you are doing. Its a sign of accelerated or vigorous growth.

Thanks. I got some ph down just in case and will try and dial my water in if need be. They are doing good though, slow for their age but good.

I think topping them slowed em a bit, they are 5-6 weeks old and no where near ready for the screen. I'm running a 600watt dimmable at 450watts to keep heat under control. I might get the lamp a bit closer, maybe 8 inches to try and feed em a bit more light. They should be much bigger for their age shouldn't they?

I'm just going to be patient, I'm grateful they are healthy. I love spending time in there! It's hard to pull myself away :)
