Way too small pot. 1 gallon per foot of main stem.
Thrips plus other bugs. Treat with pyrethrin and also start using a preventative light mist of neem oil a couple times a week to deter them in the future.
Let the soil dry out better between waterings.

Repotting into light soil will fix ya up right.

No poison thank you, I do try to let them dry out. but weather has been very poor here this year. Think they are Thrips (See Pic of Adults) When small they look a little like quick moving aphids, green and well camouflaged. They suck the sap from the leaf as it emerges and leave a series of 1mm brown spots which turns into 1mm holes as the leaf expands, which makes them look terrible, but once resin begins they seem to go away or maybe its that they have become adults. I think whitish marks on lower leaves are caused by white fly but not certain, easy to crush them on small grow, would spray otherwise.

Dude, He wasn't suggesting that you use poisons. Both things he suggested can be bought in completely organic forms...they are made from plants.

Time to do some research.

Specifically a member of the painted daisy and chrysanthemum family.
Those adults are not thrips; I think you have TWO types of pests. The ones causing the holes, and the ones causing the small pale silvery marks. That would be the thrip larvae.
Either way if you don't get your pot size updated it's all going to be moot.

I found out that the ones causing the holes are called "Capsid Bugs" silvery marks are caused by white fly, will pot on this weekend
