Pro-Mix Seedling Mix with 20% perlite added.

Fox Farm Feeding schedule started at half strength during 2nd week.

How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? *Knowing the brand is very helpful*
1/2 Strength

Ventilation running 24/7 with the bulbs to keep the area cool.

Is the fan blowing directly at plants?
Blows above the plants for a slight rocking in the plants.

Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist?
I check it twice a day, at the 12 hour mark its still moist on top at the 24 hour mark the soil is dry top to bottom.

Is your water HARD or SOFT?
Soft (Filtered)

Filtered Tap Water that's been bubbled.

No.

No.

Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?
No.

Are plant's infected with pest's?
No.

Ok, that's out of the way. Since I added nutrients to the soil a week ago I have not added anymore, just keep adding straight water every 24 hours. The pH of the water is 7.0 on the dot.

At first the tiny round leaves all turned yellow which I thought was normal, then the next set of leaves up turned yellow and now brownish, and the leaves above that are starting to turn yellow as well.

The pics are abit out of focus, but this is happening on about 30% of the plants.
I noticed some of the plants had a purplish main stem and others had a greenish stem. I don't know if that indicates anything.

TIA,
ww

How best to add just N? I have the FF nutrient pack, could I just start feeding them again at 1/4 strength?

Just give a little more grow nute, Grow Big, I believe. Feed them again 1/4 strength every 2nd watering and see if the yellowing stops. It will not re-green.

This is nitrogen deficiency, looking from the way the yellowing works up the plant (mobile nutrient deficiency), and the way the green is being sucked out of the lower leaves, and the perfect top leaves.

The solution is to spray the plants with a mild grow solution, at a ph of 6.5 (very important), and flush the soil with 6.5 ph grow solution.

Other than that, very nice seedlings. Very thick leaves, a very nice fresh green.

I think we're so used to guard against overfertilizing, that sometimes we underfertilize.

I just mixed up a couple gallons of water this morning and added the FF nutrients, Big Bloom and Grow Big I think are the two required right now. I mixed them at 1/4 strength and let it sit for a couple hours with an airstone in it. After that I measured the pH and thought it was a little high (7.5) so I threw in some pHd Decrease every 20m until I got it down to 6.3 (I heard ISS likes that pH level) and watered/fed the plants. I will go spray the with the solution now.

Thanks HeadyPete and TarzanianMagic

^^^Yeah That!^^^ First thing I noticed was the tiny pots. Those peat pots are good only if you are going to bury them in the ground. Otherwise, they just wick away moisture from the soil. Good advice in here so far.

Are those little roots poking out of the peat pot on the top left hand corner of 1.jpg. Not the cloudy mold shit, the little white "specs" below and beside.

If those are roots poking through - be careful about transplanting. If you think you can do so without ripping out little roots, go for it. If they seem to be breaking through the cup without much effort, you may as well stick the whole cup into the larger container and water like mad (as per usual transplanting procedure. for me at least).

Add a drop of mild soap to the spray as a wetting agent. Some have also said it is best to spray right before lights-on as this is when the plant is most prepared to accept moisture through it's foliage. This may have been disputed since I read of it, but it sorta makes sense if you think about it.

No, those little specs are some Perlite that got splashed out of a pot. I've been checking for root tips to be popping through and I can't find any, so when I've got room for the bigger pots I will transplant them out of those coco cups and into some fresh dirt.

sooner better than later for that.
these honeys are starting to look quite nice. have you noticed any improvement in their condition?

I don't think I'm looking for improvements, just no further degredations, and I haven't noticed any further progression of yellowing.
