Yellow leaves late into flowering

I got 2 plants about 45 days into flowering and the leaves have turned yellow and crinkly. They are hydro and have been fed Pure Blend Bloom. I added some Calmag but that doesn’t seem to be doing much. Does this look like a PH problem? Or maybe a specific deficiency? This has been just the 3rd grow, and I am still looking for answers on how to dial it in. Any knowledge and wisdom is much appreciated :)

The images might be a little blurry, lo siento the camera aint the best

Have you sprayed tehm recently?
things like that.
Looks like Over Ferted Crispy Critters... but could be something else.
How long before you cut them?

Yup...give us something to work with and you'll get much better responses...

looks like nute burn to me as well...

Along with your nute info, what's the water source, PPM, PH?

I third nute burn. Flush them immediately and nurture those girls till they're done, you already have a good set of buds. Will probably get more potent, but not much bigger.

GL man!

Thanks for the help

Thanks for the help

Okay soo we're not sure about the PH and PPM because we don't have a meter. Here's the answer to the other questions though:

Wattage: 250 watts w/ a cool tube exhausting into a carbon filter and out of the box.

Temps: right at around 78* pretty much perfect.

Chop date: set for CINCO DE MYAO (SP??) or May 5th.

Flushing: Already done, we switched to fresh water w/ no nutes about three days ago.

Spraying: haven't sprayed them with anything all grow.

Thanks for the feed back guys we really appreciate it

How much of the PBP, CM and anything else did you add?

What's the water source?

If you're going to do hydro, I cannot stress how important it is to have an accurate way of monitoring nutes/Ph...getcha a couple cheap meters off ebay if you can't swing the money for the high dollar meters. You can get a hanna checker (PH) and primo (PPM) for around $25 each there. Make sure to get some calibration solution as well...

I wanna know how much pbp you are using? cal-mag? You have to be loading them up to get that kind of burn with those nutes.

We were using a shot glass (about 45ml) of PBP per gallon of water and there was usually about 5 gallons in the tub at any given time. As for the CAL-MAG we didn't use any until about 2.5 weeks ago, when we added 2 shots to the whole tub. Oh yea we are also using 1 shot glass of HYDROGUARD per 2 gallons of water.

BTW the strain we're growing is MASTER KUSH from nirvana that we grew from clone.

Try 12-15ml/gal of the PBP...45ml is insane even with nute hogs. 5ml/gal of CM is usually adequate as well.

Then go get some meters so you can get the Ph/PPM straight.

Thanks for all the input..sounds like we over feed these girls way too much...were going on a trip this weekend and decided to chop a branch down. As u can see we salvaged some decent bud but hopefully next yield will be will be much healthier

^^^^Sound advice for pbp.^^^^ Were did you get the idea to use 45 ml per gallon? even on the bottle it says 30 ml for mature flowering plants and thats a lot to.

Haze Toker,
Actually we did "get the idea to use 45 ml per gallon" from the bottle.

Which reads "aggressive fruiting and flowering- use 1 1/4 ounce (45 ml) of Pure Blend Pro Bloom 2.5-2-5 per gallon (4 l) of water."

From our experience and the helpful advice of people on this forum we now know that is too much. We will properly adjust the Nutes and buy the appropriate meters for our fourth grow. And oh yeah you spelled "WERE" wrong, you meant WHERE.

I forgot about the aggressive fruiting and flowering. I would never use more than 30ml unless the plants really seemed like they needed it. BTW, I am sorry for spelling "where" wrong it seems to have bothered you. Mistakes happen!

It's not bad at all, this is our third run with this strain. I would describe it as a little more couchlock than you'd expect as long as you let it go past 56 days. Anything before that results in a less intenst heddy high.

I've seen this happen with PBP many times since it is so readily available to the roots. To buffer I usuaully recommend liquid karma or any other "catalytic" type additives. Things such as bio-fulvics/humics, epsom salts/MG, bcuzz/liquified seaweed, calcium, and sillica. Pureblend Pro at proper dosage will give you desired growth results.

I'm sure other people will agree but starting at 1/3rd to a half of the listed feeding volumes will help you dial in your nutrient schedules. Whether you are a soil or hydro gardener flushing your medium with the desired pH always alleviates minor uptake problems. With major uptake problems I'd start looking at the nutes and medium themselves as opposed to the plants ability. Any small changes in the pH or availability of a specific nutrient can make or break your stash. :(

Don't forget your immovables and root zone additives since they will help lessen the burn if you accidentally spike them. Most strains will recover but not all are so forgiving so treat the ladies nice!
