yellow, curled down, tips on new and old growths(veg stage)

any suggestions what this is caused by?

Age: 25ish days from sprout.

Room temps - 75-85
Water temps - 75ish
Humidity - 55%

PPM - 500
PH - 5.6-6.1

well now its progressing. more tips are yellowing.
i dont think its heat issues
cuz its been hotter than that and the Kali's never had issues.
plus
i have been raising the lights whenever the Kali's show growth in height.

hmmm.....

also, on my most prosperous kali
i have noticed that the second set of true leaves (at the bottom) are dark green and now shriveling to the point if i rub the leaves gently they crumble off... the first set is almost gone completely with cods.

is this normal?

the rest of the leaves seem fine besides the yellowed tips and curl

phosphorous issues?

i did bump up the nutes lil. maybe nute burn?

pics of problems

Brittle leaves

Result from me crumbling... DRIED LEAVES(3nd set of true leaves, i may have stated it was the second before... the second set are doing... ok)

this leaf is feeling brittle now (4th set of true leaves)

yellowy SHINY parts

help?

Hey,

sorry to hear about your situation. I've noticed similar symptoms in my northern lights pure indica. Let me know if you find out what the cause is.

Are your tips looking like this at the top too?

Also, is this what your big fan leaf tips look like?

We might be able to figure this one out together.

check up on my thread in case it turns out to be the same thing.

http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=51720

p.s. i noticed my lower leaves doing that "curling in on the sides" thing that your picture shows above... it seemed to have corrected itself once i switched out the nutrient solution and added distilled water + tap water to the mix.

yeah seems we have the same problem.
is that a hole in the fan leaf on the bottom?
if it is... i got like one hole in one leaf on the bottom big fan leaf. weird.

ill let ya know if this shit gets fixed.

about the curling in on the side leaves... did yours feel brittle to you?

not terribly brittle, but a little bit yeah...

I've noticed that the stems are REALLY stiff, so they snap really easily... which has me thinking that it might be another symptom of whatever we have.

Are you using foliar feeding sprays at all?

Which picture are you referring to with the "hole" in the leaf?

the bottom pic
the leaf on the bottom right in the middle

my stems are actually quite flexible. just the leaves are brittle...
huh.

anyone?
help two brothers out?

yeah ive been reading over it over and over again
cant put my finger on it.

phosphorous
sulfur (doubt it)
nitrogen

are what ive come to so far...

but, i can not pin point it.
i don't want to add epsom salt if i dont have to
i dont wanna add floranova bloom to fix a maybe phosphorous problem
and my nitrogen intake should be fine....

so... ugh

do you think its a pH thing? I'm thinking it might be a micro nutrient deficiency. it looks a little bit like we either fertilized too soon, or we have cal/Mg deficiencies.

im leaning toward micronute deficiency.
i added cal-mag with no success. so...
im going to throw out my nutes
its been over two weeks now since i changed out my rez

ive read that you should change up every two weeks
but ive also heard that you dont have to...

i think in my case i should change out every couple weeks.

hopefully this straighten things out

best of luck to you brother... I'm thinking mine might be water temperature related... we hit another really cold week and i think the res has been down to like 58*F =/ Hopefully a week of these cold conditions won't stunt the growth so bad that they don't produce.

Send me a PM if you ever figure out what's causing it. Toodles
