Yellow and Burnt *pics*

I posted a while back about the below pictured plant that had dark brown spots on the lower leaves. The leaves turned all brown and died. Several people mentioned that it may be a PH problem leading to nute lockout. It is grown in Promix/perlite and the troubles started shortly after watering the first time with full strength Pure Blend Pro (7ml/gal) as per the bottle.

I then repotted to 1 gallon pots using a 3:1 mix of plain soil and perlite and using plain water. The plants took off like a shot and the brown spotting seems to have stopped. Unfortunately the plants are starting to turn yellow, moving further up the plant as shown in the next picture. The new growth looks excellent, even lower on the plant.

Notice that the yellowing appears along the veins of the leaf and gets worse the lower you go.

Now I have to ask; What is my next step?

My guess is that the plants need nitrogen but I'm not sure how to add it without either overwatering or overnuting and making my problems worse. Is a foliar feeding recommended and if so what should I be feeding?

Thanks again for all your help.

lol...sorry, but it kinda does look like a PH issue still. Did you add any dolomite lime to that peat? What's the PH of the nute solution and the runoff?

I added 1 tsp dolomite lime per gallon of soil. PH pen is on order but tap water is 6.8 using chemical tester. Unfortunately it doesn't work well for runoff tests.

a couple of questions

a couple of questions

What was the plain soil ya used (brand name) and how often do ya water? BC

Was a house brand soil and was pretty light with some peat in it, no nutes though. I've only watered once since the transplant and gave the pots a decent soaking.

about the water

about the water

So how many days do ya reckon from one water to the next? I'm thinkin this one of two things: ph or jus plain o under waterin.I think if it was a ph thing it would effect the top of the plant(more than it has) as well as the bottom.I do know that a plant that is consistantly under watered or not watered enough when they are watered will die from the bottom up.When ya geta ph pen yull know fer sure.Let us know eh? Good luck, take care...BC

The plants get watered when they need it. When the pots get light but there's still some moisture in the bottom. Since they are now 8" plants in one gallon pots they haven't required watering since I transplanted.

I'm going to foiliar feed half the plants to see what happens.
