Yeild 18/6 under 400watt or 12/12 under 1000watts?

I have two auto-flowering strains that have been under 1000 watts of HPS for 45 days. The thing is the 1000watt room is about to be switched to 12/12 so my other plants can flower. I have a veg room on 18/6 with a 400 watt MH. Which room should i let the autos finish in to get maxium yeild?

The strains are Auto Hobbit (65 day strain) and Auto Mikromachine (75 day strain). If you would like to see pics just check my sig.

I´m growing at pretty much the same setup but using 24/0 as that should boost yield a little bit. I´m at day 14 (about) so I can´t really say much at this point but it would be nice to compare results. I´d keep the AF´s at 18/6 or 24/0.

Yea i heard that 12/12 will make them stretch and have small buds so although im sacrificing 600 watts, i think the extra 6 hours of light is more important.

You are correct, the additional hours of light are more important than the power of the lights. Can you hold out for 3 more weeks and keep the regulars in veg?
In fact, and not to hijack the thread, it makes me wonder......
Say that you have autos at 49 days and a regular plant at veg 49, could you take cuttings off the regular, turn them into clones and have clones ready for potting by day 70-80? Could it be done in the same space as the finishing auto?

I would rather not veg my other 8 plants for 3 weeks longer. The would be almost 11 weeks of veg!!

But for your idea, That is actually exactly what im doing. i take the clones and veg them so they will be ready to flower by the time my flowering plants are in deep flower. Its going to be a nice perpetual harvest once it gets going. Its going to take a run or 2 to find my exact keeper plants but it will all be in my journal. just check my sig for my grow journal.

funny thing is, I am having to switch my space over to a 12/12 as of today (I have to shut down by an exact date for a couple months and have regs that must be finished). I'm 25 days from seed, saw sex 17 days from seed. So, I will get to give some insight as to how things turn out with about 45 days remaining.
