yeast induced co2 generator

first DIY project with co2, optimistic about it:
30ml. of liquid yeast+ a base 30ml. of sugar + 1/2g water
(after prepping 5 single gallon jugs, equally distributed the rest of the sugars per jug. by pour)
Shook em' up & added a gas line leading to the plants directly.
Hope this really works.
Feedback welcomed, considering I'm not sure if what I did is going to work.

One gramme of sugar ferments out a quarter gramme of CO2 or less , not as much as i thought looking at the stream of bubbles comeing of wine fermenting.

Have a dozen demijohns of second ferment wine always sitting on top of the veg box useing the riseing heat from the lamps instead of heating mats and often bulk beer too , airlocked and fed into the box below .

No huge change in growth seen when going from a background 350 ppm to the 600 ppm the yeast provides as the light level is the limiting factor under my cfl setup , but have an undefinable slightly healthier look about them and show sex more often at nine nodes veg.

Possibly due to the ethylene from the yeast as much as the slightly elevated CO2 level.

suspended jugs & modified gas lines to hang above plants.

Lol throw some flavors in there make beer or wine, give it away if u dont like it... remember c.o2 is heaver then oxygen. ..keep that fan going

yes it works, once its done foaming and smells like ethylene replace the contents. the plants can be exposed to some ethylene but it stunts auxins (won't stretch as much in flower).

I did this sort of thing when I first started growing.

Like Foomar, I did not see enough benefit to continue the practice. But if you are enjoying it, by all means, have at it.

You need to run a screw into the wall and get rid of the tape on the electrical strip. It won't last and is going to cause grief. Just sayin'... K+ on the stoner engineering. Good luck!

By the by, did you remember to put new batteries in the smoke alarm outside your grow room? Wouldn't want to read about your demise in the paper.

Welcome to ICMAG! We are so glad you decided to join us!

ya can knock together a small pot still, and run thru the contents of your jugs after they quit bubbling for a little after dinner drink.

Waste not, want not.
