I've heard good things about that Assasins Creed and would like to try that in the future. I quite like just playing demos or going on xbox live too.

assasins creed is hands down the best game ever made for the 360. the whole game broadcasts in 1080, not just the cutscenes.
i played the game non stop til i beat it, still kick it on trying to collect the rest of the flags.
that says a lot from a guy who loves sports games.

Just finished Soldier of Fortune: Payback, and before that was COD 4. As a member of Blockbuster online I receive 2 free game rentals a month, and use them to check out the ones I might want to buy. I play on a 65" Mitsubishi 1080P DLP, and have the HD player for the 360 as well. I may be pushing 50... but I do love a good game!

My favorite is Oblivion, and I have the Shivering Isles expansion. Just love a good RPG.

I got my 360 when I heard about Ninja Gaiden II, and to play Ninja Gaiden Black since my XBOX has been busted for over a year. After playing NGB, every other game feels too easy/slow. Even all the new 360 games (at their current price) don't interest me much.

That just tends to be the main genre on the 360 (I guess due to online play over live).

The only Zelda-esque game on the 360 but it's a pretty hardcore rpg

The 360 has so many shooters simply because its the best and easiest console to play a fps on.

I love hitman style games so I can't wait to go back home and play assassins creed (my brother ordered it and has been playing it up there without me)

they do replace units with refurbs.

dont forget to ask for a month of free XBL, it usually takes 3-4 weeks till they return you with a refurbed 360.

I'm with backwood, my xbox shit the bed and I'm waiting for microsoft to send me a new one. I haven't even gotten the box from them yet, it's taking awhile (too long). I was playing halo3 alot and I used to be real good at Gears of War. I've been playing Assasin's Creed at my buddy's house and it's awesome, very cool game. All I know is I need a working xbox by the time GTA4 comes out...

Rainbow Six Vegas and Konami Winnning Eleven 2008 are my favorite.

Right now I pretty much just play Skate. I can play that game for hours on end. I also enjoy a game of guitar hero 3 if someone's over. Although recently I've been playing through all my older games (Oblivion, Forza2) on the new LCD, it turns them into a much superior game than last time I played through on the old tube.

Like other people I'm really looking forward to gta4. Cant beat a day of running down random virtual people in a stolen pinto.

From what I heard it was an overheating issue in earlier 360's. For a while Microsoft didn't address the issue at all but they now have agreed to replace any console suffering from the 3 red lights of death. I've had 2 friends get theirs replaced. Looks like the issue isn't as frequent in any of the new 360's being sold though, so you shouldn't really have to worry about it.

Hazy -- If I recall correctly, many 360s were breaking because of a solder problem. Something about it being the wrong solder for electronics so the excess heat causes hairline fractures that were basically unrepairable or very costly to repair. Basically: Don't block airflow to the console, don't put it in a heat intensive area, make sure the intake/exhausts holes aren't clogged with dust, don't leave it on for extended periods of time.

Topic: I'm currently playing COD4. It's definitely a keeper if you like FPS or war games. One of the best out, I'd say. Also check out: Guitar Hero 2/3, Rock Band, BioShock, Gears of War, The Orange Box, Kayne & Lynch, Mass Effect, ES IV: Oblivion, Two Worlds, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, Viva Pinata (the first one), Final Fantasy XI, Halo 3 (not too much of a fan; it's good but doesn't quite live up to the hype for me), The Darkness, Overlord, Blue Dragon, FEAR, Eternal Sonata.

Games to look out for: Army of Two, GTA IV, Gears of War 2, new Ninja Gaiden
