Heres the bad one:

Any Ideas what the problem is? I thought u couldnt over water in coco, maybe Ill swith from everyday water to every other day...
whatchall think?

I'd say you "can" overwater with coco, in the sense that roots will develop faster if you water less, at least with "new" transplants, or seedlings.

could it be heat stress?

yo yo yo Get Mo!

Why you so worried dude?? it's little yellow, but it looks fine.

relax and don't overpick your plants.

B

bighogg

how big is that container? you might not have used an optimal size container for the maturity and health of that clone.

it's just a little yellow. re-plant and/or cut back on watering, for now.

peace

I'd be feeding that plant 1/4 nutes every other day for 4-6 days then daily. It doesn't hurt to let the pot get a tad dryish just to encourage the roots to grow.

The process of cloning creates deficiencies in your plant. After all, it is feeding off itself for the couple weeks it takes to get roots. You should assume that all clones have minor defs when you get them, and work to clear that up, particularly the N def, right away.

Your main problem right now, IMHO, is that you have a problem with N uptake because of high pH. Lower the pH of your nute solution to 5.4-5.5 and things should start to rock and roll.

Thanks Pharmacan, Ima try that. Bighogg, definitly not the containers, Im gonna water a little less though, everyother day from now on...

I think it may just need to adjust to its new coco home a bit more. I think coco can be over watered. just bump your feed a bit keep your ph around 6.0 and you should see it blow up soon. :headbange

I don't want to start an argument, but are you growing in coco? What pH are you using?

Coco is considered a hydroponic medium. As such, it's almost impossible to overwater. I'll go a day or two in between waterings right after a transplant, but that's just to encourage root growth and that's the only times I'll do it. The rest of the time, as with all hydroponics, you want to make sure there are plenty of nutes constantly available.

As far as pH is concerned, if I go over 5.6-5.7 in veg I start having lockout problems, particularly N. So, I pH the nute solution to 5.4-5.5. Once the nutes are in the pot, the pH will gradually rise to around 6.0. If you look at a nutrient absorption chart, a pH range of 5.4-6.0 would allow for the ideal absorption of almost all your nutrients. Anyhoo, that's my strategy and it seems to be working. I've tried using a pH around 5.8 for veg and it just hasn't worked out for me. BTW - during flower, I raise the solution pH to around 5.8.

...just some food for thought.

i think the little bugger is drying itself out. do the leaves feel dry and crunchy.a normal plant should be soft and silky that have pliancy when they bend? my guess overfert! leads to built up waste and salts. ph goes outta whack now u got a sickly plant.

mist that gal with distilled water only for a few days until she regains the proper carbos in the cells

Hmmm... how would it dry out? I'll mist it and see, i got some cal-mag on hand too....

You guy's dont think it looks like its sufferin from high temps maybe ? The leaf curl on the edges says its gettin hot in the room maybe. Pharma, to answer your question no I have never grown in coco everything in my gallery I grew in a mixture of sawdust sea salt and in straight GH ferts with a ph of 10.

Whats zoo, yeah the temp is a little high too. Damn sawdust holds too much water to I think.... haHA!
Heres an update:
Plants are doin a little better but still not ideal, Also got 2 new goo clones from a differant cut that arent doin so hot either.
The ph of the runoff is at 5.6
The ppm was at 366, so Id say an ec of about .8
The temp gets up to 85 at night when its zipped up most the way but otherwise is at about 75-79
I just fed um with filterred water mixed with 1.5ml canna coco a/b, 10 ml rhizotonic, ph'd to 5.6
Grapefruit diesel:

Grapefruit kush:

New goo clones:

I havent tried cal-mag yet... Been mist'n um a little though. Tryna keep the tent open much as possible so it will stay cool (all the windows are open and the box fan is on on low pulling air in from back window)....

Getmo, you sure can over water in coco man, overwatering will cause nitrogen problems..... cannabis roots when they have lack of o2 nitrogen will be the first to be showed when over water problems occur.

How often do you water them?

ANd yes, there is some heat stress going on the edges of those leaves too...... How close you got the CFL's?
Yup, 30% too low, need to up it to 45% to 55%

I been waterring everyother day, most folks tell me water everyday but that seemed like to much. cfl are almost touching the leaves.

I would not water everyday, some people don't know wtf they are talking about, only certain circumstances should you water everyday and yours is not one of them :)

Zoo, do you have a fave sawdust, or do you just use common lumberyard schwag?
