WR© Honey elixir

Whiterasta's honey elixir;

A tincture is made from 190 proof ethanol using high resin content material by grinding into a flour and covering with 1/4" per pint of alcohol or 1 inch per gallon.macerate for a month and strain.

Reserve the alcohol .

Now THIS STAGE IS FLAMABLE FOR A PERIOD OF TIME AND MUST ONLY BE PERFORMED OUTSIDE ON AN ELECTRIC HOTPLATE! In fact I have hesitated releasing this recipe for its ability to blow up if done by an inexperienced person over a gas stove! Please do this portion with open ventilation and NO open sources of ignition!

The reserved tincture is placed in a heavy large S/S kettle or a crock pot (works well due to enclosed heat source).
I can usually get back with vigorous pressing of the marc aproximately 1200ml+ from 1500 used
750ml pure honey is added and stirred to homogeneity. Amount of honey is variable from 1:1 to 10parts tincture:1part honey

Begin slowly bringing this to a boil while stirring aggressivly but without slopping out the mix.

NOTE at this point distillation is the most proper method of safely removing and recovering the alcohol, which if the alcohol is used several times becomes a cannabis brandy containing many interesting compounds amd flavors(mostly terpinoids and related aromatics) and can be used as a cordial once the proof has dropped below 150. The used alcohol is diluted with honey to ~60 proof

The mixture in the pot will start by swirling light and dark green as the resins are condensed and then begin to boil.

Turn it down to a simmer and watch carefully while stirring to prevent boilover.

Reduce this mixture down to 850mls and cool.
At this point you have a double strength syrup which is holding the cannabinoids in suspension. The key is leaving a small amount of alcohol in the syrup ,>10% , to keep the syrup from becoming to thick. If it is desired to remove all alcohol one must put the elixir in a wide mouth jar to be able to stirr it if it separates. This will keep it's effectiveness under refrigeration for many, many months.

Should one continue the boil until all alcohol is removed then it is possible to make lozenges of the honey by standard candy making techniques just watch your temps or you will vaporize some of the active ingredients.

This elixir, due to its extreme concentration will separate over time so must be shaken well prior to administering.
Using my strain, and at the concentration stated, dosage of elixir is 1/4tsp-2tblsp depending on ones tolerance to oral preps and severity of the symptoms it is used for.

Most people find it much quicker relief than oil extracts, this due to it piggy backing through the digestive sugar pathways rather than the fat pathway used by oils, and it can be made many multiples stonger than tincture or oils by changing the reduction ratio of honey/tincture.There are limits on the amount of resin which can be disolved in an oil or alcohol. These limits are superseded by creating a suspension. I personally have created elixirs of 1g/ml concentrations, however these are more sweet tars than easily administered syrup.

Some of the uses of this product are;
Chronic pain
nausea
calming violent autistic behavior
influenza
viral infections
sleep disorders
Neuralgia
and the list goes on...

II hope this is of help to some of you, and again I caution you regarding the reduction of the alcoholic fraction.
Bon Chance!

calming violent autistic behavior

Nice thread indeed.

Was there a strain name for this method and "calming violent autistic behavior?"

Oils, WR© Honey elixir, cooking.. I'm trying to learn more since I read about Sam. He's what 11?

Sam is a grown man in his twenties now.Since his mothers death I do not know if he is still with the family.I do know that when I met Sam he was fairly likely to take your head off out of the blue and it was the unceasing effort by his mother Mrs. medjool that he was able to live a somewhat "normal" life.
You see Sam was/is a very large person. When we met he was 15, about 6' tall and weighed in at about 250. He was much bigger than any others in his family since 14. Cannabis helped him not only be calmer but aided his cognitive ability. This is not just MY single experience. I have worked with over a dozen other autistic children and without fail it has improved everyone in the households life but mostly it gives the violent autistic child a break from their own prison of behavior. This is the relief it gives the family.Seeing a family member get some peace from their affliction is huge in autistic homes.
As far as strains the true expert on the subject has passed away. Mrs. mejool knew more about strains and dosages than any other human on earth. But now she has passed and I shall do my best.
AFAIK she prefered solid indica strains, couch lock was never a problem for Sam but the physically relaxing hash plants seemed to allow him to focus. She would also brew her oils for happy caps VERY strong and I know Sam would have 2-4 of these up to several times a day.
Near the end of her life Sam had gotten to the point that he could determine when he needed his dose and would ask my dear friend when he felt his behavior slide for his medicine. He really enjoyed his freedom from the worst parts of his autism and he made the connection between the medicine and his discomfort decreasing.

Our dear departed Mrs Medjool from the OG days is dancing in heaven. I will never in my life forget when we demonstrated to CSD and the head of the autism group of Oregon the therapeutic properties of cannabis on autism.
It was pivotal in Oregon and there is a growing parent group who have been using cannabis since then for their autistic children.
I have to say though the day we had the appointment with these people we knew there was a real chance of having it all blow back in our face. And the likely hood of getting favorable press was nil. It did however spread the awareness of this almost miraculous treatment for violent autistc behavior.
I only wish my very dear friends could have lived to see this day.
Mrs.M, Jay, You helped create the conditions for this to happen and all I can say is I am so proud to have known you both as my close friends. I miss you both and hope you are looking down on this with pride.
WR:woohoo:
