Would you give up function for style?

I am not sure how important it is for all you growers out there, but would you give up some function for the benefit of style? I am sure there are ways you can make your grow area look cooler, but in turn may lose some of the benefit of the function and potentially not grow as well. What's your thoughts on this for cannabis grows? Essentially, function vs. style!

If you consider style DR's office clean and lots of white walls, then yes.

Seriously I am after the highest quality plants possible so that's the priority. Also who would see it?

I like it to look neat. I do like naked ladies in it (we're not allowed to post those pics?) Beyond that it's pointless.

Hippy pseudo-permaculture with Om shaped beds and cob benches?

If you want to be cooler you could find a handle besides Shelton ;)

Give up countless months.. that could have been growing (functioning).. while instead redesigning the grow rooms completely from scratch, to be the most stylish mad pot scientist lab lookin' state of the art super advanced functioning system in the world! does that count?

There is a middle ground without compromise between form and function if you put the time in.

And of course, if you have the time.

And by form I mean workmanship. The details.

I am very much done with pure function.

I can't give out any more reputation today, and it is still early(ish) but that post wins the day if not the week/month.

You want people to give up potential income for something that looks sort of cool yet no one but the grower will likely ever see?

Hahah, well sometimes style can lead to potentially more profit. Who knows, maybe you can rent our you cannabis grow room to others!

See, FireIn.TheSky has got the right idea, haha.

Well, I guess you make a good point but you never know for the future. I seen some pretty "interesting" fancy cases for Cannabis so there does seem to be some appeal on showing off both the grow room and the grow, just how much of one is hard to tell at this point.

Yeah, function is important but some level of style and organization I feel needs a place too.

I wouldn't say give up per-say, but rather improve upon it to make it both functional, stylish, and cool to show off. Not saying to deck it out with fancy posters or anything like that really.

Anyways, thanks all for sharing! Ha, it's been an interesting read and a partially serious topic. :peacock:

Function every time. All my grow room shit is home made. The first criteria is "does it do what I need it to do?"

"Does this look cool?" is not even a consideration.
