Just needed some input on whether this bud is ready to be chopped. The trichs are 90% cloudy 5% clear 5% amber but the buds still have a lot of white hairs. Any advice or opinions much appreciated. First time running this particular cross and the pic is from day 63 of flower.

2 weeks. Youll be glad you wAited. It would be ok if you chopped, but it would be much better with a little more time.

Thanks I'll give it another week. I was leaning towards chopping now but I'm a impatient bastard and that's what prompted me to post the question. It's a process!

I'd take some buds now, in a week, and in 2 weeks. Each time check the % of cloudy/amber. Compare to see which smoke you like best, and learn for future reference. I never worry much about the hair color. Good luck. -granger

Seems that only the trichs on the leaves are turning amber but the trichs on the buds themselves are still cloudy. Is this normal?

I concur! I'm still learning this patience thing but I know it's necessary for me to progress as a grower of fine herbs!!!!
