would this work?

My stanley fan just stopped working for no apparent reason the other day, and with few options available I hooked up my ducting to a bathroom fan.. It's working okay, and I can still feel air being sucked through the carbon scrubber, but I want to try and rig something up for the couple of weeks left in this run that will get me by a little better..

I have two computer fans that constantly move air in my tent and I also add a big fan during lights on.. I was looking at one of the comp fans and I noticed that it would fit perfectly in my ducting.. I'm thinking about sticking it a few inches away from my hood (pulling through the hood) in the ducting.. fwiw, I think the comp fan is ~80 CFM and the bathroom one is about 50 and there would be multiple feet of ducting and a couple of curves between them..

does anyone have experience w/ something like this? I don't see why it wouldn't work, but with ~10 hours until lights, all I can do is ask questions on icmag.. :monkeyeat thx guys

Duct boosters are usually not stronger than primary exhaust. Those bends and that long run may put enough strain on the 80cfm. You'll just have to try it and see.

theres no reason why you cant try, although a computer fan isnt extremely strong i think it'd be efficient enough. good luck.

I use a 120 mm 76 CFM axial which is sufficient for cooling in the garage but not for a legit scrubber. My DIY Odorsock worked on my Destroyer but, at 3 weeks, my single Mandala 8 Mile is already overloading it.

If hood is enclosed or a cool tube, an axial may be enough to cool. If there's scrubbing to be done, get a "proper" fan.

ya, that was my thinking.. and if anyone's wondering, there is a noticeable difference in the air being pulled through the scrubber and the temps are a lot better... soo it looks like this will get me by
