Teddy.. I have one, use one and for $100, it is perfect for my 13 gallon res. It drops temps 7-9 degrees F. I some times turn on a second pump, that just dangles in the res for circulation, the heat from the pump keeps the temps from going below 60 to 62F at night time.

I think it would be good up to around 20 gal for about -5 to 6F.

More than 20 gallons.. it becomes a POS.

I'm getting a second one for a second res. OH! yea.. it ads about 3 degrees
to my 30x24x72inch box. Heat has gotta go somewhere.

Now if ya wanna go for $300..... http://www.petmountain.com/category/161/1/chillers.html .

You can take the heat outside the box!

Good luck m8.

Hey 4maggio......do you use the temp control device for the ice probe? wondering if it is worth the extra $55? this would work great in a swc.

Don't peltiers suck a lot of Watts!?
I didn't read this to closely, but I have been playing with this when overclocking my old CPU, and you could be looking at 200W consumption!
