Would diatomaceous earth shred pollen?

Looking around for something to cut the pollen with. I don't have flour handy but lots of DE. ( I typed ED first; should have left it:biggrin:)

I doubt it, but there's only one way to find out for sure... I also have lots of DE to hand so might try this. My guess would be that as the pollen grains are so small, the DE is not going to impact them, but as it is dry, stable and sterile, it might make quite a good medium.. I'll post my results if it works.

It's used as anti caking for some rock dusts like azomite. Personally I would try to get flower because it's cheaper (for me anyways) and proven to work.
