You should limit your visits to the plants. Try to add to the soil stuff to keep moisture in like peatmoss so you don't have to water the plants unless severe drought. (dont forget to add dolomite lime to peatmoss because its acidic) Osmocote 14-14-14 or similar at high rates in the planting hole like 2 tablespoons might provide nutrients for 2 or 3 months. The "good ole boys" add a handful. Ideally you should water the plants at planting with npk + micros like 20-20-20 peters/jacks classic. 1 teaspoon a gallon should do + the osmo. This is the safest approach. :rasta:

As JJS advises, your location has the biggest impact on the charges and penalty you would face.

In general, your looking at the same charges and penalty as you would with an indoor grow. If plant count is a factor, your likely to have fewer outdoor plants then attempting to bring in a similar quantity indoors.

Outdoors does give you deniability that doesn't exist indoors. If LEO detects plants outdoors, they will usually just destroy them. There has not been a single case reported of LEO staking out sites and catching a cultivator attending plants.

ok good to know. im most likely going to use a special organic mix thhat requires nothhin except water...which in most cases is already supplied by rain. so taht should help a bit. somethin like moonshine mix. i'll probably add somethin to retain moisture also. i live at the bottom of the rocky mountain area so it shoudnt be too bad. thanks all !

$10 dollar hole and a $1 dollar plant. Put extra effort into planting like digging and amending a wide and deep hole.

The state of Florida puts cameras in grows they find. I know this because some of my kin got pinched that way.

If you're in an area that people hunt in or your cover is "hunting" then I suggest you always wear some sort of mask to cover your face (and maybe a bow and arrow or blowgun if you want; even if it's not bow season, it's better to get a fine than to get busted with plants because with some sort of hunting tool you display plausible deniability even if you're standing next to the plants. Also - guns + pot plants = bad) incase LEO actually is watching with a camera, or in the worst case - in person. Make sure you know multiple ways out of the area and be able to get out of there very fast; just incase. These are some of my security practices.

hope I could help :joint:

Edit: as irishSoCo says, if you have the ability to go at night, opt for that as it's much safer.

And check out www.norml.com to see your state's penalties.
