yes, i live where i grow... im not a big time commercial drug dealer dude man guy bro. i have 4 plants in a hydrohut for my personal consumption. i dont think it makes me stupid for living at my house where i grow, as for living with my roommate, i am one stupid motherfucker. he got his fair share of words from me tho, quite the arguement tho because he felt it was absolutely necessary. hes been a habitual smoker for 6 years now so i dont think he was flipping out from being high

If they were going to search your house, they would have for sure done it right then-- Like someone else said, they just pull you outside for the 20 mins it takes to get a warrant--

In my experience, police aren't too smart wen it comes to knowing the diff between the smell of smoking pot and vegging/flowering/growing plants ... a cop in my area even arrested a teenaged girl for smoking a cig coz he reckoned it smelt like pot WTF!!! (go arrest some fukn rapist or something!) ... Anyway, a search warrant is a lot of hassle to get, look up ur rights and that may by u some time if they do (for some strange reason) decide to investigate ... for example if u say: "I do not concent to a search of any of my persons, property or belongings" - or something similar - then they can't legally search u, ur stuff or ur house without a warrant and if they do search without a warrant anything they find is voided and cant b used as evidence in court as the police broke the law to obtain that evidence ... also if u dnt want to talk to them (a good move) say something like: "I've done nothing wrong and am not obliged to stay here with you, I will not physically resist u bt unless ur arresting or otherwise detaining me i would like to leave, I have nothing further to say until my lawyer is present" ... then even if they intensly question u, u legally dnt hav to say a single word (once again they cant use evidence that they illegally aquired ... bt if u open ur mouth they can use wat u say so jst shut the door (or drive away if in a car) coz there's nothing they can do at this point,. If they turn up with a warrant then ask to see it and make sure its signed, if its not signed, its not valid. Sometimes police try to get a warrant bt cant so they bring an unsigned one jst to see if they can get u to concent to a search, ALWAYS, ask to see/read a police document before concenting to or signing anything ... It's ur right ... research ur rights!

If they happen to try somehting tricky lets say.. worst case senario, investigate, find 1kW on n off same time. can the cops get a warrant based on that smell they got when they were in my house however long ago from when that would happen. get what im sayin?

just from the comment of i smell pot smoke is probable cause and enough to get a search warrent. personally if cops came to my home made that comment and left. i would tear down everything put lights and hoods back in perspective boxes and clean up everything. and start lookn for a new place to live alone if you love freedom like i do thats what i would suggest. better to be safe and tear down clean up today and be able to grow tomarrow. then say naw nothings gonna happen {very well could be nothing happens from this}. but if they come back and your not clean and doing it your mucked good. they cant do anything about some equipment not in use and in boxes

Where i am at least the police need a fairly good list of reasons to hav a judge allow a search warrant to b passed, and it can take weeks for one to b passed if its not considered urgent, spose its all relative to the laws and government where u live ... I've had cops in my house for a general and safety inspection sorta thing and they neva got near my grow, and that i concented to lol.

The process for getting a warrant takes at least a week. You need to prepare documents for the judge to review and based on his judgement he will issue a warrant.

The situations you describe sounds like the people in question were already being followed and were persons of interest to the police already.
