WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT FAN THREAD

so for any haters... im well aware its pre scripted.... but go watch dolph ziggler vs luke harper ladder match on youtube or Adrian Neville vs Tyson kid... and tell me everythings fake... these days u have to be able to do a front flip out of the ring and into people... the stars of today are not the same fighters as hulk and the rock and stone cold and triple h(maybe somewhat similar to shawn michaels)... these guys have to be extreeeeemly talented and go and put their well being on the line every week to wow and entertain fans... todays wrestlers in wwe wrestle
but alas I didn't come to defend my favorite sport(after mma)... I came to share my love for all things wrestling...

this thread is for everything WWE, NXT, TNA, ROH, LUCHA UNDERGROUND, PWG, DRAGONGATE, NJPW, ETC.
even past organizations like wcw or ecw.

first of my fav wrestlers right now are,
MR MONEY IN THE BANK Seth Rollins,
romain reigns,
BROOOOOOOCK LEEEEEESNAR(I AM A PAUL HEYMAN GUY)
dean ambrose
dolph ziggler
Adrian Neville
sami zayn
hideo itami
finn balor
kevin owens
bray wyatt
Daniel bryan

my favorite ppv of this year is a hard one... Daniel Bryans championship win at wrestlemania comes to mind first, closely followed by money in the bank...
tho truthfully this years ppvs have been great in comparison to previous years...
it seems the youth movement is about to be in full effect veeery soon.
gotta give an honorable mention to summerslam in LA which I attended and personally got to witness lesnar throw cena around the ring like a rag doll.

I am going to wrestlemania this year in san Francisco... its gonna be sick... and I keep crossing my fingers for lesnar vs the undertaker 2 rematch from last year and a triple threat championship match between the former shield memebers(rollins, reigns, and ambrose)... god thatd be sick.

Monday Night Raw is on the USA network weekly... and smackdown runs weekly on syfy on fridays but is moving to thursdays soon...
tna is on spike... though i think they got a new tv deal in place coming up.
and lucha underground is on the El Rey network(which is produced by robert rodriguez and really bridges the gap between a live wrestling show and like an action movie... total grindhouse feel to it... and does a great job of introducing american auidences to lucha
libre.

warrior was awesome man... such a larger than life guy... he died earlier this year... and for years he had been fighting in court with wwe... and this year at wrestlemania they finally mended fences and he was inducted into the hall of fame.. the next night he was on raw, and delivered an emotional speech about when a man one day draws his last breathe... he died 2 days later.
rip warrior

and yeaaaaaa the juice is still obviously flowing freely in wwe... it surely helps that u can get it from a doc. shit i think randy orton and batista were implicated in a dirty doctor supplying them... but ya wwe is still the land of the giants. luckily tho... theres plenty of people who dont use any steroids and would be lightweight fighters in professional fighting... alot of the people i listed at the beginning clearly arent steroid users(atleast most cough broooooock lol)

Paul Heyman & I are friends, back in the early 80s he & I used to run around Westchester County on my Harley posting WWF handbills for local matches on telephone poles and on bulletin boards in commercial venues, but his bio's seem to omit this early lowbrow task :)

I did this as a friend plus the benefit of Paul bringing some of those wrestlers into the bar I worked @ after the matches, having those guys in the bar for just a few hours on one night would boost business for weeks based on the local nightclub gossip.

back in '98 or so I delivered a very expensive designer chair to Vince McMahon himself @ the WWE offices in Stamford CT, a $6K chair it needed his specific inspection & signature. He was happier than a pig in shit and we were kidding around when I told him $35 & $40 T-shirts @ the matches were killing me (something I'd heard from a co-worker); Vince yelled out to a staffer & told him to bring up some T's, the guy comes back with over 2 dozen shirts in various sizes. I started to pick thru them for size etc when Vince says "fuck no! keep 'em all!" Very kind.

okay, all that being said I don't ever watch wrestling.......

Some funny ass shit for sure...........see if I can find again, I'll post them if I do......So funny and eye opening.

oh.......ya I don't watch this stuff either but used to when I was a kid.

Cheers,

The rock had a good thing going on with the raised eye brow, quite an mpressive skill.

Real american sport

Never watched too much of it but a friend of mine did, inevtably saw some if it.
I dont mind it, its entertainment. Don't see myself paying to go see a show, i'm not up to date on it but if someone offered me a ticket i'd go.

I'm pretty sure triple H or someone was on the cover of high times right?oh and Ufc mma is a shadow of its former self.I can take the guys in my weight class.it seems it went down hill with chuck leddel.he's got good hand skills but there's way better guys than him.he's got a fucking beer gut.best guy i ever seen was a Chinese or Korean guy named cung Lee I think.this guy was brutal.I can't believe he didn't kill someone.he was doing German suplexes on 250+pound guys.this was real mma.
