Work is fullfilling, healthy for you, and financially positive. If you work harder, you will be treated better, and eventually earn more money. It is in your own mind to make work good or bad, life good or bad, each day. I started work at $1.15 per hour to shovel chicken shit, how does that compare to your job?

I don't think that anyone has to work a minimum wage job...unless you name is "yummybud".
even when I was 14 years old and all thru HS I made $15 an hour doin' construction work part time (while my retard friends were makin' $5 sumthin an hour at fast food crap..and bitchin' constantly about it)
I have never made less than that, and I have always liked the jobs I've worked or I wouldent have worked 'em.
If you have the ability to work you really should be doin better than a minimum wage job....at least your working tho and not just sittin on your ass bein a bum .

The longer you stay there, the worse you'll feel, because you know you're letting someone else take advantage of you.
When I was in a similar position, it ruined my attitude and actually made me feel worse and only exacerbated the issues at work. Once I moved on to more fulfilling work, my attitude shifted dramatically; yours will too...

tired of minimum wage? want to be more in control of how much you make and aren't scared to work long hours? (not hard physically whatsoever but sometimes mentally/emotionally draining if you get frustrated easily).

its what i did and its great. I walked into the office stoned off my ass and talked to my boss and co-workers like that. No one had a problem with it. Why? I was consistently one of the top sales people in the office because i could talk to people, be knowledgeable about my product/service group (no specifics kids) and close deals.
just a tip for sales. The clients/customers that will potentially spend the most with you are often almost and sometimes more knowledgeable about what you're trying to sell them than you are, so BE HONEST!! helped me out a ton. I had referrals all over because people knew they could trust me.
I mentioned walking into the office stoned...........If you go on sales calls in person, don't go ripped......not a good confidence builder with the clients/customers and won't win you many contracts with them either.
..........if setting up appointments or making sales over the phone.........stoned is no problem
just remember, sales isn't for everybody. I started off working 40+ hrs a week with sales and another 20 hrs on the weekend with a different job for paying the bills so it was ok if i screwed up a sale.
patience is key too.
i could go on, but ill just say one more thing.
If you're moderately well educated or just don't mind a little hard work, its not hard to make an alright living.

take homers advice and just do it really half assed. not so half assed you get fired but u gotta push the limit. in the meantime look for a better paid more demanding job. the good thing with minumum wage jobs is the bosses don't think they own you and they don't usually try to control you because they know you're on a piss poor wage to start with and that would just be cruel. so you can get away with a lot. i don't mean stealing shit but having extra breaks and doing nothing while getting paid for it is good.

What I don't get are those automatons that get paid the same awful wage and still do exactly what they're told even if no one is watching and they can relax. Example: Like when you have a policy to report your coworkers if they are doing anything they're not supposed to. Like, why would you do that? I hate those people. Like those ****s who took attendance in class when the teacher was absent, just because they felt it was the right thing to do.
