Hiya folks. Well for awhile I have been working on something onthe side. Well its coming along really well so far. Been building everything from scratch as I have access to all the resouses needed. Building is almost complete. I need to aquire a fan an carbon scrubber first before I can go on. I don't know the dimentions so I don't know how big to make the compartment for them. Going to go out tomorrow and pick them up. Or at least get an idea of what is actually available to me. Haven't gone out to any places todo any real shopping. Only online researching.

Not 100% sure on what type of fan to use. I'm thinking a squirell cage fan.. Or blower fans I think they are called?

Although I hope they aren't too noisy. I'd like one those nice Vortex fans.. Are they really worth the money?

Main question at hand I need to figure out when I go shopping tomorrow is what size fan will I need to keep a good flow of air pulling thru that box and also enough air movement to keep the 400w cool.

Here is the drawing of my main box.
2 Plants. DWC setup. Pretty basic. I think. Any flaws you guys see or anything please point them out as I've never done this before.

I will also have a clone and mother box. Seperate from the main box. From my experience and reading while in veg plants don't smell over too strong. So I am not worried too much about oder with this box.

Here is a sketch I made up. Again. Any flaws or ides you have to make this better please let me know. I've never done this before.

I've been lookin at fans myself and came across theses on ebay seem to be quite cheap... there is probley a reason some one else here might have come across them , if u have please let me know what u thiink of them

I really like these vortex fans. The place I went to on sunday didn't have any. Gonna go shopping around hopefully I can find one. If not the guy at the other store is gonna order it for me.

nice setup and i think you are ont eh right path, proper airflow is a must and you have already taken that into consideration. look at the Stanley Fan mod that Dopest wrote up. It might be able to help you out with your exhaust and cooling that light

I got a 309CFM centrifugal fan (like a Vortex) for my 400W HPS. Awesome fan, more than i need but nice to know I have it. Read about the upgrade on day 8 of my grow diary http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=33907&page=2&pp=15

Look into making a C scrubber, my DIY ones work better than what I bought at the hydro store.

what are the dimensions of your cab?

Your setup seems good but I would place the scrubber into the cab, pull FROM the scrubber through the light to the fan and out the side of the cab.
