Normally:
White = neutral
Black = hot
Green = ground

Don't hold me to it,
but I did stay at a HolidayInnExpress last nite

This is my first attempt at uploading a picture so I hope I get it right.

I believe I have the same or similar fan and I want to make sure I don't burn down the place so sorry for what is probably a dumb question. What do I ground the green wire to? The wiring diagram (same as above) makes it look like I'd tighten it in like I did with the other wires but with the connector that is on the wire obviously that is not possible. Also is it ok the the wires are slightly exposed outside of the connector as seen in the picture? Thanks in advance to whoever takes the time to answer!

Cut off the o-ring strip back some insulation and go into the lug opposite the green wireEDIT The green wire coming out of the terminal block and following the other wires down into the fixture will terminate at a ground screw in the housing that you cant see
