Wiring in active pickups

I just got some new active pickups to replace my old passive humbuckers. a set of EMG's that will be run through my old schecter. EMG makes it pretty easy to wire up having plastic connections that dont require any soder but now that they're in theres a slight buzz comming though my amp.

any suggesions on what could be causing this? the jack looks fine and all the connections seem solid

sounds like a ground issue...
you dont have any blacklights on the same circuit as your amp do you - that'll cause some buzz...
are you going thru any pedal or effects/have you tried straight guitar to amp?

reverse the ground switch on amp. check outlet for proper ground. tester at radio shack $5. what kind of amp?
