Wiring hood and exhaust

Hi,

I made a post in the big stickied thread, but I'm pretty eager to get going so I thought this might be faster.

Picture one: This is the cable from the ballast that's going to be connected to the socket. Do I just put one black on each side of the socket? In the instructions it says "Third cable (earth) must be fix by screw to the side part of the reflector". Will it work to fix it to the top screw directly above the socket?

Picture two: This is the exhaust fan. I found the cable that came with it, it matches the colors going in to the little plastic things. Do I just match the colors with the cable I found on each spot?

Thanks in advance!

The black/blue doesnt matter. An yes about the earth cable, you only have to match that one and fix it to the screw.

Strass is right,
Pic1: you just need to put the earth cable (green/yellow) in contact with bare metal, and yes you can screw it where you want to.
Pic2: just take care to match the earth wire, the other 2 are the "hot" wires and it doesn't matter how you connect them, you just need to close the circuit and power will flow through them.

make sure you disconnect all the wires from the wall sockets before working on them. be safe!

Just found the time to do it, worked like a charm! Thanks again!

And damn, those lights are bright! Even the small 110w flourescent was pretty intense :)
