Wiring an axial fan?

This fan is dual-wired it would seem for 230 and 115. There will be a schematic sheet that came with the fan. If there is no sheet, contact the manufacturer to make sure you have the right wiring diagram. That should take all of 10 minutes but will prevent something much worse from happening.

right it's a dual voltage fan. I'm in need of a power supply. The fans did not come with any directions or paperwork. It says for 115v wire blue/black and red/yellow but what the heck do I connect them to?

There is probably a schematic on the unit somewhere that you may not be aware of.
Those two wires will be the two wires of an extension cord that plugs into the wall.
A third wire for a ground is recommended.

If you have an extension cord with three wires, the two wires that are connected to the flat prongs are the hot and the common, and it doesn't matter which one of these is attached to the blue/black or red/yellow, either or works.

The third wire is always connected to the round prong, and is the ground wire. There may be a ground wire available to hook to (green wire) on the fan, or a small screw that is painted green. If nothing like that, you can always attach the ground wire to the metal body of the fan just about anywhere on it.
The 115vac fan will run with just those two wires connected properly.

I can just about guarantee you there is a schematic on the unit that tells how to hook for desired voltage. (most likely on the junction box lid)
Any more info on this and I risk confusing you and don't want to see you do anything not kosher. And I am NOT a licensed electrician.
