Winged root aphids

I got root aphids from some clones, took a couple months to show up the douche must have been treating them.

They went into an undercurrent system in an isolated tent.

I ran some imidacloprid through the system for a couple days, noticed some flyers coming out but today they were grounded and seem to be dying.

Should I fog with permetherin or pyrethrum to get the fliers or will they die eventually?

How easily do these things spread? I'm considering treating other rooms in veg just in case.

My plan is to treat with triazicide next then another round of imidacloprid. In flower I will use nematodes and MET 52 EC.

These things are completely new to me I appreciate any input

Check out EF420's solution, riptide and orthene. Appears to give the best results, he tried everything including the methods you've used.

Are you 100% sure they are winded root aphids and not fungus gnats?

I am currently using Kontos in a recirculating aero/nft hybrid system. I am still finding crawlers and fliers and I have been using the Kontos for 3 weeks. I have the micro RAs and nothing seems to eradicate them.

I'm having the same luck with kontos.. I have the larger army tank aphids. Thankfully they aren't resistant to imid.

Medfinder, that does look like a root aphid to me.
Just got rid of an infestation of those f*ckers.
If you grab the top layer of soil in your hand, move it around a bit, you should see them almost jumping around like fleas.
SNS-203 worked well for me. But you need to keep applying it.
I use a combination of Gnatrol for fungus gnats, and SNS-203 for root aphids.
I try not to use AzaMax (azadirachtin) at all.

We got root aphids at the grow I worked at and we used the riptide solution. I will never use that crap again. Burned the plants very bad in rockwool and coco. Might be different in soil. met 52 and nematodes for the win...

Root aphids don't jump around the top layer of soil, this were springtales
