Window A/C misuse

I started my current setup in the winter using cold air exchange. Winter ended quick here. Needed to deal with the heat from 2 open 1ks, open 600, and a t5. All operating in a lung room.

So I needed an ac. Portables are a no go for efficiency.
I have to windows in the room. 1 is maybe 5 feet from the sidewalk. One is 15 ft. Fairly busy road.
It wasn't hot enough to warrant an ac.

So I started building out an 8k btu based of available tutorials. Worked ok but it just fights itself as it heats up.
Bought a 12k and built a better enclosure using insulation, roxul and a whole lot of foil tape.
Idk if anybody cares. But I'll leave pics here for now since I have the links.
If ya wanna know more holla. If not.. that's cool too.

First one - inefficient. Based on most available online tutorials

Much better build. My issue was how I was exhausting. But instead of continue r&d I'm using window for summer. Will rebuild in fall

Ahh. That's well beyond my scope. But I think the technology is the same. I've seen tutorials for using humidifier condensers or something in cabs I think

Cool. I've thought of integrating dorm fridge innards into my cabinet for cooling.

Don't waste your time, a refrigerator doesn't have enough capacity to cool anything, well maybe a 5 watt bulb. I had a refrigerator once that I thought was broken, it was hotter inside of it, than outside. Turned out to be the light switch was broken, and the light wasn't turning off. Two 40w appliance bulbs put off more heat than the fridge could move. Once I figured this out, I took the light bulbs out, and by morning it was working like a champ. This was a full size fridge, so I can't imagine how little heat a dorm fridge could handle.
