Window A/C - air exchange, dehumid Q's

Hi - I'm running a sealed room and I'm going to use 2 12,000 BTU window air condiitioners - one running all the time and the other when needed, hooked to a IGS 110 controller.

But many if not all the new A/C's I see out there say "Air exchanger helps circulate fresh outside air," and they don't have a close vent option. Does that mean that this is a real air exchange? which would suck as I'd lose all my CO2, and blow nice stinky air outside? or what?

Also, most have a dehumidifier built in which you can't turn off. I take it these dry the air too much? (I guess I could add a humidifier!)

Anyone know of good new 12,000 BTU models I can get which have a close vent option, and no dehumidifier? Tx.

I use exactly that for 3 1K vertizontals,it doesnt consume your co2 or smell outside.A portable on the other hand will fuck up your co2 I know from experience.Man I'm not sure what kind it is,got it at home depot its like 3 letters? With these fuckin seedp[lants I cant see it right now and water day is wednesday,I'm not moving all that now!Just make sure you get one that doesnt utilize outside air, most dont I thought unl;ess it has an open air vent.Is it LK something maybe?

coolx: A window A/C with the little switch to open and close ventilation doesn't exhaust grow room air. There is only one brand of portable air conditioner that does work which is a Delonghi split portable. Overseas they have DIY ductless split A/C's.

icdog: All air conditioners pull water out of the air.

Tx for the feedback guys - I checked with a manufacturer and the "fresh outside air" is NOT the outside air, just recirculated filtered inside air - or so he says. There is no vent switch on the model I was looking at - that's why I wanted to know - else I know I can just close the vent.

I'm going with the Feders 12,000 BTU model - it's just $238 from Walmart or a bit more locally cos I can't wait for the shipping time.

It doesn't have dehumidifying either. And YES, the dehumd function can't be turned off on the new models as that helps them get their high EER rating - usually around 10.8-11. But as I said I don't want dry air, this way I can add a separate dehumidifier, and run it off the IGS 110.

Just saw the Growtronix controllers .... nice - maybe that instead of the IGS.

coolx good eye getting a dehumiudifier for you flowering room, the AC wont get it.I have an 8 by 8 room and pull slightly over 2 gallons of excellent water daily in a little over 12 hours actually. Its important to use the dehumid when the lights go out,I usually dont use it with lights on.
