Will this work?

Looking for some constructive criticism on my setup. Negative feedback is just as appreciated as positive. Really just looking for some honest opinions and flaws in it.

Mainly concerned about the airflow for now.

There are two 4x4 tents, one with a 600 hps and one with a 1000 mh.

Intake for each tent is a 6" duct at the bottom pulling through a large hepa filter. No fan is planned on intake yet.

Exhaust is the tricky part. Each tent has a 6" duct leading out of the top, leading to a 6" to 8" reducer into an 8" Y duct into an 8" 470 cfm fan, into a 38 can filter (yes, both tents going into one fan/filter).

Each tent will have a 6" clip on fan inside for additional air movement.

Lights are in 6" ported aircooled hoods. Starting off running them open. Might either seal and cooltube them later or pull the exhaust through the hoods to keep the hot air out of the tent.

Have a 6" ~300cfm fan/ filter setup as backup incase first filter goes or 600w tent needs more airflow/ more odor prevention.

Lights are running simultaneously on a 20/4 schedule. Just running a pollen and no-pollen tent for some AFs.

Would be really interested in opinions on that.

Thanks IC

Why the bigger MH? I've got a 400 MH on a mover for vege, then 400 + 600 HPS for flower,..... Tho you could fit both of your tents in just one half of my room.

That's really my only criticism.

As for the ventilation, the 2 6" ducts into a single 8" duct is pretty close. Should work just fine depending on the CFM of the fan.

I've never seen a 6" clip on fan that would do much of jack shit for circulation tho,.... may want to look into something bigger if you've got the room in the tent,.... Oscillating is even better......

:? Ok,... guess I've got 2 criticisms.:

I'd need more details on what your planning to set up to pick it apart any more. But I'm sure as I have a couple more beers I might come up with something creative to bust balls over till I sober up.

Anyway, you've been warned. ;) Carry on! :tiphat:

I'm doing somthing similar, (just upsized) with one twist.

I have 2-6x7 rooms with 8" (exhaust) duct. Duct runs to a "plenum" (air-tite box around 12" Phresh filter) and a 12" vortex pulling threw the plenum and exhausting into the cold air return of my (house) HVAC system.

Reason I did it that way is 'cause I didn't want to blow threw that spendy ass filter, as the pre-filter is on the outside and I didn't want to diminish the lifespan of the filter.

If I had it to do over again, I woulda used one of these http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/phresh®-inline-filter-12in-p-4178.html with a "Y" set up like you have.

As far as the rest of your set up, What I would do is use both of those tents as flower rooms (flipped 1000 watters), and veg in the room that the tents are in. This would even out the "heat load" making enviornmental control a bit easier.

Good luck and stay safe!
