First of all, the word gangster doesn't come from any sort of gangster we know today. It comes from early 1900's mobsters who were more about making money then mindless killing. They would kill or threaten to get people to pay up, not to show their strength.

"gangster' has nothing to do with how you dress , its how you are. You could wear timberland boots, rocawear jeans and a wife beater and still be a pussy. someone who is "gangster" is " gangster" no matter what he/she is wearing. People know how i am regarless of if i am wearing a wife beater or a brooks brother suit. Clothes dont make you gangster. Take a look at jay -z. he wears mostly suits now, but can still put on a pair of jeans and some boots. his clothes dont make him something he is not. In a suit he is still the same rapper, just better dressed.
