will she ever finish???

so I got this plant that was from a seed that was in some surprisingly good Mexican brick. I planted it along side some commercial seed which were all indica mostly.

anyways, it has been in flower for about 13 weeks now and just keeps packing on weight. which is good but I need the space, so, to speed things up. at week 11, I increased the night cycle to 14 hours. or so I thought. I actually bumped up the day cycle to 14.

at 11 weeks I was starting to see some purple and the pistils were just beginning to turn. but after the upage in light the purple layer has been buried in new growth.

as soon as I noticed my error with the timer I reduced the cycle back to 11 day 13 night. this was at 13 weeks so 2 weeks of 14 hour days.

so can I expect the different layers of growth on the buds to be of different maturities? will that layer that started to get purple and show almost all milky now be mostly amber even though the outside layer of the bud is just starting to turn milky?

and should I harvest now or wait for the new growth (which is all I can see) to mature?

I did manage to pollinate this one with a male cantaloupe haze from dna. she has a great almost indica single cola structure but the flower time says sativa. its a great yielder. got lots of seeds, hoping to grow them out a few generations and then do a back cross with the pollen I have in storage from the canteloupr haze. I didn't get a cut of this one. so only the male dna is in the library.

or would it be better to do my bx to a select plant be it male or female from the f1 generation?

and after typing all of this I realize I should probably be posting in the breeders forum, so if a Mod could please move this to the appropriated forum, that would be great.
