Will my plants be pollinated by my neighbors?

my neighbor was thinking about breeding this but I plan on growing outdoor this season. He lives about 1/4 mile away from me, so I know there will be some pollination, but if he were to do this would I be looking at a couple seeds here and there, or buds filled with seeds?

I guess it depends on how your neighbor goes about the pollination process, is he growing the males right along with everything else to allow open pollination? Does he have the pollen he's using already collected and plan to just pollinate a branch or 2? If it's the first scenario I'd say you could definitely see some seeds in your crop ,but if it's controlled properly and hes planning to make just a few seeded branches I wouldn't worry much . I remember reading about a technique where you use a bread bag dusted with pollen and tie it off around a branch for a day or 2 ,then remove and immediately spray with water to kill any stray pollen . I'm just getting into seed making so I'm no expert , but if it's something your worried about I'd go over and talk with the neighbor about the process he plans to use.

Yes

I grow indoors but every Fall there's some seeded buds on the bottom of my plants where the intake fan blows in

In Jamaica the only place you can get sensemilla is the west end of the island where the prevailing westerly winds blow the pollen inland

Marijuana has relatively heavy pollen. They are called gravity pollinators - that is why the males grow taller - so the pollen will drop down to the females. While it is possible to get pollen from that far away, it is unlikely.

I make seeds about 10 feet from where I flower. Sometimes I may have a few stray seeds in my flower room, but usually there's none. If you are careful, and build a seed making chamber with filters you would be amazed at what you can get away with.

When making seeds the male only needs to be in there for so long. Once the girls are pollinated, you can remove the male, and spray the girls down with water. The water will negate the residual pollen.

What I try to do is time my males(to spit pollen) when I'm vegging and in the first 2 weeks of flower in my flower room. That will minimize the risk of seeds. However since I have been perpetually making seeds, this timing doesn't work out all of the time.

With some care, your neighbor shouldn't be an issue.

its going to depend on whats in the direct path of the pollen , how many different types of natural barriers there is . and the predominate wind direction flow in the area
