Will my Dehuey work right if I have twice the air flow in my room?

Hey fellas, its just as the title says. I used the "thread search" option to see if someone else already asked the question but it didn't pop up. If you have twice the air flow recommended for any size room. Will a dehumidifier still do its job? Since whatever dehuey you are using wont be sucking in twice the amount of airflow to match your in/out take fans. Will the high airflow be enough to control RH? What if you live in an area where the humidity is really high outside? Would that affect the vortex of airflow you have running in your room? I really appreciate the help guys, :thank you:

I put my dehumidifier by the intake (outside my grow cabinet). That way, dry air is being sucked into the cab. It works for me, and I've got some SERIOUS airflow going on.

My setup is a 4x4x6.5 foot cab with a 600 watt light. Might not work as well for a big room, but worth a shot.

De-Humidification has nothing to do with airflow. It's about the moisture content in the air. Most dehumidifiers are rated at so many gallons per day meaning they can absorb x number of gallons from the air in a 24 hour period. Regardless of the airflow in that room, your dehumidifier will only be able to absorb its rated amount of water from the air...hope this helps

If you're pushing a lot of humid air through your room, no... the de-huey is not going to keep up. It will simply be sucking electricity and making some clean'ish water for you.

Any humidity it removes from the air will be replaced as that dry air exits and new humid air enters. If you're REALLY humid... like 70% and more, your only real option is to go with a sealed room and CO2.

Just to ride on this you could also build a lung room, and condition the air in the lung room first before having it exchanged through your room if sealing is not an option.

Yes, a lung room would work. I do this now but with cooling, not de-huing. :)

You're still pretty much a closed room environment... with a lung room.
