Wildflowers as camouflage for outdoor grow

Has anyone ever used this technique? If so, any recommendations of a type that is in the 3-4 foot height?

Thanks!

Hmmm really didnt think of that...I am trying to find a plant that will be high enough to hide em...anyone any suggestions?

Also looking for a quick growing tall plant, difficult to find!!! The trees in my garden are quite well established, and do the job ok, but still a few gaps. This is my first outdoor grow, so feeling my way at the moment, not sure how high my plants will go and if I should I expect a stretch when they go into flower.

I'm trying a type of wild bay leaf tree as these are cheap and easily available, in my part of the world anyway, about 5 EUR each. I hope they grow quickly. I'll keep them in their pots and move around as necessary. They have nice pink or white flowers, and tend to send branches out at a wide angle.

I'm hiding my plants behind a bunch of conifers, hibiscus, roses, geraniums and lantanas, but know I'm going to have a problem with the height and particularly the smell. These are now almost 1.5m tall and growing strongly, I hope I won't need to limit growth! I tried topping one of the smaller plants to see if I can train it along the railings. Any thoughts on topping so late?

These plants started life indoors and after a short veg, I sorted out the females, kept the best for a quick indoor grow and threw the rest out into the garden to reveg and fend for themselves. Only one WW (in pot on top of the well) is not doing too well, but I have an assortment of 7 other very healthy plants. Was initially worried about the water from the well which has high ec, but this hasn't been a problem to now.

I had very nice results with my indoor grow which I harvested end June after 4 month. Yields were low due to short veg time and small pots, but quality is excellent. I had 4 White Widows, 2 DP's and 2 very trippy Cretans with a very cool taste and high. Even before full cure these plants are very sweet and strong with their own typical tastes and buzz, I can't wait to see how they'll perform outdoors!!!! :smoker:

Settling in for a long summer, maybe I'll hang around and check the action...I need to know when to expect these girls to turn to flower, also expecting pest problems before the end, so I'll be around looking for advise.

:D

Well first of all you have a very well hidden outdoor grow. They blend in very nicely, and I can't imagine anyone noticing unless they are right up on them. Also they look surprisingly healthy since it appears you are growing in partial sun (?)..

I solved one of my 'yard' delemias through a couple stategically placed Daylillies (shown on either side of the wood stove)...the subject is behind everything and virtually invisible. I still need to do something about the porch ladies though. Cheers

bamboo works very well. many varieties available. the taller you buy them the more expensive they are, so maybe buy some smaller ones and they'll be tall enough by next year's grow.

Unfortunately only partial sun right now, still looking for the best spots, I have 2 Cretans in afternoon sun, and the rest in morning sun.

Difficult to keep hidden and discreet, I would just love to have these girls out in full sun, but not possible. I've kept some in pots so that I can move them around, but so far I haven't bothered.

I try to find plots in blackberry or blueberry bushes. They grow to 4 to 5 feet tall, are thick as hell and most people tend to not walk through them. Thankfully bears tend to stick to the berries and leave my girls alone. LST'ing does wonders.
