Hey whats up all, just wanted to show off my hydro-hut mini. I know there is a few of them out there,but I tried to take some decent pics so people can see what they look like on the inside. Right now she is housing 16 northern light youngins under a 400 watt mh which I will switch to a 600 hps for flowering. Hopefully out of these 16 I end up with 9 girls

shouldnt there be some container under the pots to catch the water that falls out of the containers?

plan on a 50/50 ratio of male to females on your NL. even that is a lofty goal cause some will undoubtly need to be culled. save a mother for clones so you dont have to worry about it in the future.

seems to work pretty good. When I got home from work the other day the bedroom smelled like mj so I figured it was time to hook it up. That thing is so light I ended up hanging it vertically. It doesn't seem to have any effect on the fan either. temps in cab are still only 3-4* above ambient

when I mixed my veg soil last week I mixed up a little too hot and was starting to get some burn so I flushed them with 2 gallons per pot and that seem to do the trick. they are looking a lot better this week




I also came across this article from mike at mandala seeds. http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=13689 Its a very interesting read. In fact I went out and bought an ec meter because of it and when I tested that batch of soil the ec reading was almost 3.0. After the flush it is around 1.6. my tap water after sitting for a few days comes in at around 3.5 with a ph of 6.5

started to transplant into their final pots. I found these sturdy 31/2 gl pots at wormsway. my mix is pretty simple its pro mix , earthworm castings, and perlite. water with 10ml/gl of liquid karma w/ a ph of 6.5 doesnt get any easier

I needed to water the plants after the transplant this past weekend.
the first thing I do is take an ec reading of plain water

then a ph reading of the same water

now I add 5ml/gl of liquid karma and 15ml/gl of pbp pro.

this gives me a 1.0 ec reading of the ferts and a ph of 5.3 which is fine because the lime in the soil will bring it up to 6.5

I like using the ec meter because it lets me know exactly how much salt is going into the plants. akso what I'll do before next watering is take an ec and ph reading of the soil. tomorrow I will post some picks of the plants

Well today is the last day of veg. it just amazes me how fast these things grow! All the plants have alternating nodes so I should know what to cull by this time next week. This mini is stuffed to the brim

well as I stated ina earlier post. My 600wt xtrasun ballast crapped out on me so now I have to finish with the 400wt. I have 2 different bulbs I can use an agrosun gold mh or a standard hps. which bukd do you guys think would be better week 5 of flowering starts on Sunday

Also I was thinking if I should replace my 600mag/coil with a 600 digital ballast or get another 400 with hood and run 2 lamps in there. any suggestions on that?

Well I have never finished a grow with the 400watt agrosun mh bulb, but I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it so far. this is day 29 of flower and I have some nice chunky buds going on. heres a few pics
