Why is it ok to show dead / dying animals on tv but not humans?
anyone else find this cencorship rediculous ?


i was just watching tv and they showed fishman beating up dolphins onto a boat full of blood in the water and the boat along with at least 20 dead dolphins.

i dunno, death is natural and sometime to some murder is as well... just a rant about the lame cencershop in america.

What bothers me more is that american society is ok with showing violence and death on tv, even glorifying it. But something beautiful like sex or a naked woman is a huge no no.

Don't get me wrong, I like blood and guts as much as joe average, but come on. Double standard just a bit?

i see dead people on the history channel all the time. usually from vietnam or ww2 footage, and they show fields scattered with dead bodies, pretty disturbing.

Do you have any idea how it would feel to be told a loved one had died and to then see the floating bloated, face down in a flood as you innocently walk past the TV? Would you know first hand how the public reacts to seeing soldiers come home dead like in Vietnam?

Some censorship is required out of basic courtesy. The rest is a product of general concensus.

......yeah.....kinda wierd that you can go watch movies with a kill count up in the hundreds......but when people start making love they restrict/ban it....
