This is a terrible picture of it. Normally the leaves curl so much from side to side you cant see the tops of the leaves... its so crazy and has me baffled.

I'm guessing without more grow info. The leaves look black, so maybe too much Nitrogen or nutes? Sometimes if there is too much light the leaves try to curl up and get out of the light. Anyway we need more info.

You mean more like this?

In my case I chalked it up to being too close to the lights. I've heard too hot as well but my canopy was sitting at 70 degrees.

Mine did that in late flower and did not seem to harm the bud at all.

Yeah maybe a little Cal-Mag I know my Tangerine Haze was a Cal-Mag whore...try it on your "Taco Kush" lol! Good luck!

My tangerine dream only does it outside. it wont do it inside under lights. And your picture Third cost is much closer to how all the leaves look. Its not nutrient burn cause i only use organic "shit" litterally and well its not too hot... so i mean... what does it... its a genetic thing i know that. but why? i just want to know why? genetically i have a "taco" tangerine dream

This is usually caused by temperatures being too high. The leaves respond to the heat by reducing their surface area...curling up. They can recover, but you may have your lights too close. mmmmmm hungry for a taco.

I also get this from lights to close. If the plants get close it starts to get to hot curling the leaves. Those leaves will turn crispy and die. Those leaves are transpiring more than they can handle to try and keep the plant cool. IMO if the Transpiration Rate is too great you will get taco's.

I noticed when i had some thais around they where very sensitive to certain types of nitrogen{ammoniacal} in the ferts, when i would dose the thais i would see the edges turn up like yours. The darkness of the leaves say you are over ferted. You just hit them a time or two too much.
"Ammonia and mineral forms of Nitrogen

There are 3 basic forms of nitrogen:

Mineral nitrogen
Organic nitrogen
Molecular nitrogen

Mineral nitrogen:
The mineral fo Ammoniums ions are nitrified and are converted by microorganisms into nitrate. Fish and humans are more tolerant of nitrate nitrogen than they are of ammonium nitrogen. In well aerated water, most of the mineral nitrogen is in the form of nitrate.[6] See nitrogen cycle

Organic nitrogen: The major organic forms of nitrogen include proteins, amino acids, DNA, and RNA.

Molecular nitrogen: Molecular nitrogen is the gas form of nitrogen in the atmosphere. The chemical structure for nitrogen gas is N2."

imho it's either too close to the light or mag def. do your lowest leaves are turning yellow? i would say too much nitrogen cuz your plant is super dark but that makes leaves curl down, your ph might be really high.

it's magnesium if canopy temps are good. pH to 5.8-6.0 if hydro/coco. 6.5 if using soil. If pH is fine, up nutrients or add 2-3ml of botanicare calmag.

I am almost 100% positive its not too warm . Its organic. so its not being nutrient burned.. the soil mix is weak. and its not magnesium deficiency i have already crossed all those bridges. Then i came here and asked. I have done some research all the people who got this tangarine dream strain. They ALL are having there leaves curl inside or outside. And it was just fine in the middle of the summer when it was 100+ degrees everyday in a greenhouse.

any whole plant shots or the lower parts? cuz it look like magnesium. i would water in a little epsom salts 1-2tsp/gal just to be safe. doesn't hurt anything.

ok this was a mother that i stuck out in the greenhouse and here is a couple pics close up

There is a root cause to plant leaves "taco-ing" which is the plant not being able to draw up enough water to properly transpire.

This can, however, be due to 5 different problems, and any sort of combination of them to make it more severe. (IOW you may have three of them happening at a low level but they add up.)

Those problems are:

1> Too much heat. Plant can't transpire quickly enough to cool itself off.
2> Incorrect humidity. Plant can't transpire properly.
3> Too much nutrient. The osmotic balance in the root zone is off, preventing the plant from transpiring.
4> Too much light. Leads to problems 1 and 2
5> Nutrient deficiency. Mg def looks like this; (praying for magnesium), and Potassium deficiency directly affects the plants' ability to move water and transpire.
(Nutrient deficiency can be due to either incorrect pH or a simple lack of nutrients.)

Again, these are cumulative. For example, if you have a hot, dry room, and are feeding heavily, you will see the "taco" effect much sooner.
Conversely, you can see this happen in a cool, wet room because the plant is suffering a nutrient deficiency due to it not transpiring enough.
... This is what makes the taco effect such a b!tch to figure out sometimes.... it can happen in such a wide range of conditions.

Hope this helps! :tiphat:

Honestly i think its the strain..... The dirt and conditions are the same between my pots. They all should be tacoing or no tacoing .... but its only the tangerine dream. It has taco'd inside. inside a greenhouse. outdoors. everything... i have tried they just taco... so maybe its tangerine taco dream....
