Why is my plant flowering?

So i have these two plants, they have given me so much trouble. One is about a foot tall, and has eight sets of nodes. The other one is a little bit smaller. They have been growing for almost two months. I still have not been able to figure out the issue with these gals. I think it had to do with the large pots i had them in, and over/under watering. Well they started to pull through, and they are looking pretty healthy. Then all of a sudden i realized the taller one is starting to pop hairs, i am so confused. I have had them under 24 hour light. Is this from stress?

My main question is, what should i do with them? i noticed this about a week ago, and i still have them under 24 hour light. Should i just flower them? What kind of yield can i expect? is it even worth flowering them?

thanks for any help, i can load some pictures up if that would help.

All MJ plants when they reach maturity will put out what is called preflowers. it's just a single calyx with a hair poking out where the branch meets the stalk. This doesn't mean it's starting to flower. I personally use these preflowers to determine sex before i even flip the lights. As long as your over 12 hours light, and the strain isn't predispositioned to auto flower. I would bet those are just preflowers you are seeing

Sounds like preflowering to me...

Sounds like preflowering to me...

Yup, preflowering is a normal occurrence. Ususlly happens around 6-8 th node.

Well i was about to load some pics up but it is not allowing it right now. Thanks for the info, i must just be pre flowering (glad its a girl.)

I am starting to get some brown/yellow tips on my one plant. The other one is showing yellowing on edges of the leaf, on the serrated part. What do you think it could be? i might need to step up my fertilizer, but not sure.

Not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure that browning/yellowing from tips in is a sign of nuteburn. But many ailments can cause similar symptoms - without pics available it is kinda hard for anyone to diagnose anything. I feel your pain, I have a wonky one ATM too, & cannot upload...

I'd take a look thru Stitch's sickplant guide in the top sticky's and try to match up pics there with your problem. Might help...

Id recommend putting them into flower.. sign that they are ready so let the flowering begin.
This is a pre-flower and is completely normal.

The brown tips could be from the plants touching my flouro tubes, but i have never had that problem before.

My plants are only a foot tall, does anyone know what kind of yield i could get from them. I am growing skunk #1 and i will flower under a 400w hps.

Out on the edge of an empty highway.. howlin at the blood on the moon, a diesel mac comes rollin down my way.. can't hit that boarder too soooon

It sounds like your plant is simply showing preflowers - like everyone else said this is normal. Maybe it could use a bit less light before you flower it - for example maybe you could veg for a bit more in 18/6 or 20/4 if you want to grow it out a bit more before flowering. A change in lighting like that could help kickstart your plant into more growth. You could flower it out at this point, but its completely up to you. Just because your plant is showing preflowers doesn't mean you can't continue to veg it.

So I think I'll drift for old where it's at
Where the weed grows green and fine
And wrap myself around a bush
Of that bright whoa, oh, Oaxaca vine

Yes it's me, I'm the pride of Cucamonga
I can see golden forests in the sun
Oh, oh, I had me some loving
And I done some time

thanks for the info peeps, i am going to let these guys go a bit longer. Does anyone here veg under HPS? i can't wait to use my new light.
