why does the last page of a thread appear to be the page before?

the title says it all really.

Plus I was just looking at Blazeoneups LED vs HID thread and it says page 41/43 but wont let me see either of the last two pages.

I've noticed that too.

It used to annoy me so much that once I punched a hole in my monitor - I was like "Why the feck is ICMag withholding the vital information I need to get to two grams per watt? I want that to see that picture now! I'm getting so angry!!!! Grrrrrrr...." <turns green and splits trousers>
I woke up in a gutter on the other side of town and had to steal a young girl's tricycle to get home. I really should give it back.

I'm OK now though.

Heh, it's something about the forum software and pictures. (edit: Nope, see below.) Extra pages are indicated but aren't there. The last of the posts really is the (current) end of the thread.

It's because the page counter (posts per thread/posts per page) counts deleted posts too.
