there are more stars in the universe than grains of sand on the entire globe.
chew on that for a while.

no i typed it up in word. I changed it though to something simple because this is a forum and if I was a reader I wouldnt want to read all that crap.

Go to google and type in Mouse Party. It is a flash website where there is a mouse for pretty much all of the mainstream drugs out there. You drop a mouse into a chair and it will explain the affects of the drug on the brain. Its actually a really interesting website.

New Book Links Marijuana To Melatonin Production

August 28, 1997, Washington, D.C.: Smoking marijuana stimulates melatonin production in the human body at greater levels than any other known method, allege authors of a new book entitled Your Body's Natural Wonder Drug: Melatonin.
Authors J. Reiter, Ph.D. and Jo Robinson cite an Italian study that discovered significantly higher melatonin levels in subjects who consumed marijuana within the last half-hour than those who abstained. The authors speculate that some of marijuana's therapeutic properties could be linked the increased production of melatonin.
"The fact that smoking marijuana is accompanied by a dramatic increase in melatonin production may explain some of the drug's positive effects, [including] ... being used to counteract the toxicity of chemotherapy, treat migraines, reduce intraocular pressure, minimize pain, treat menstrual cramps, and moderate wasting syndrome in AIDS patients," the authors state.

I think it also has to do with the strength of a persons nerves because I noticed when I started lifting weights, I wouldn't get tired when I puffed, I would just get relaxed.

I would also get high as opposed to stoned.

The only think I can think of to prevent the lazy, tired effects is lifting weights. You will still get relaxed BUT for some reason it doesn't make your lazy and tired. Peace.

I can add a little to this.... I smoke before I go lift, and zone out... smoke with a nice pre-workout blend and you won't feel the burn as much as if you were sober..... but some weed still makes me plenty tired, no matter how much I try to lift..... :joint:

I'm glad someone else on here can offer advice on this.

Do you eat a meal or have drink with nuts, fruits, and beans or protein powder within an 1hr before and after a workout?.

I ask this because I started noticing this when I changed my diet to this and would eat and drink like this 30 min-1 hr. before my workout and do the same thing right after my workout.

Also, if I puffed a lot and didn't workout the next day, I would get the tried, lazy effect the next day if I kept puffing.

I really would like to get down to why this happens that's why I'm asking these things.

Lots of protein afterwards, and a simple crea/arganine/caffeine/no2 blend with 30g of iso mixed with 12 oz of water pre-workout, and at least 35g of protein after, fish (tuna) or a cheap walmart body fortress brand weightgainer shake... <----these are good and cheap... walmart has a lot of cheap/inexpensive supplements as compared to say a GNC.... but I can totally relate to being lazy if I keep smoking and slack at the gym... With me a lot of it has to do with my current emotional level/mentality... if I feel lazy I'm gonna be lazy... and the bud just acts as a catalyst.... where as if I feel like getting buck and go hit the weight pile, and smoke before/after/during, no matter I can throw up a lot of money..... kind of like acid, the trip has a lot to do with the mood/state of mind you're in going into it ya know.... anyone feeling this???

i can totally relate. i think it has to alot of things. smoking pot all day doing nothing else makes me tired and lethargic, but i like to be active when i smoke, causing me to not be lazy. work (job), workin w/ plants, running, lifting, etc are all good things to do, unless u have a desk job :D

When i was just starting to smoke I'd say for about a year i would crash hard it kinda feels like your high but your just really tired.I think it has to do with the individual and the strain of marijuana that your smoking. When i smoke something like Haze I will still come down kinda tired but if i smoke an indica like Kush it doesnt happen.I am sure there is more science to this than that but that is what it is like for me.

THC's effects relative to their cannabinol (CBN) and cannabidiol (CBD) content
http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=5553&highlight=cbd

Although the main psychoactive substance in cannabis is THC, the plant contains about 60 cannabinoids in total, including two of particularly high concentration, cannabinol (CBN) and cannabidiol (CBD). ...

...More scientific study is necessary to gain a complete understanding of the cannabinoid system.
We do know that high relative concentrations of these chemicals significantly modifies the effects of the plant.
THC is associated with an energetic, cerebral high, while CBD is associated with a relaxed, more drowsy high.
CBN is not fully understood at this point, but high concentrations usually have hallucinogenic effects
