Whoops...an extra 2.5 hours of light during flowering

My plants are 2.5 and 4.5 weeks into flowering. Last night there was a timer issue and the lights stayed on an extra 2.5 hours. I wanted to know what other do in this situation.

My response typically is to make sure they get 12 hours off for that night. Which will mean 2.5 hour shorter 'day' tomorrow.

What do you do when this happens?

Same same as I do.
For one reason or another the lights get left on later than they should, usually I am watering late, but I bump the timer up so they still get their twelve dark.

What happens is the clock works it way around the day, it used to be 08:00 to 20:00, now it is 10:45 to 22:45. When lights out gets to be past my bedtime I give the plants a five hour day and get the night back.
This doesn't seem to hurt the plants.
I read of growers using 28 hour days for extra growth without problem. A seven day timer set on 16/12 takes six days to finish a week, I would use it but I water manually and that is a problem at night.

Thanks, that makes me feel better.

I've been thinking about trying the longer than 24 hour day. I can never figure out what keywords to search for to find threads about that.

But I'm done experimenting for a while. Gonna stick to what I know works. Until I can afford to take a little bit of a loss.
