I have a 1/2 inch hose running from my shower head in to the chiller and a 1/2 hose running back out in to my tub.

It runs pretty much all day. At night i just turn the water up a tad warmer. I control the temp in the grow room from the faucet, day or night.

4 fucking amps and I could probably cool 8k right now, easy.

Yep thats damn impressive electrical efficiency. So lets say 3 gal a minute 12 hours a day over a 100 day grow cycle is 216000 gallons per cycle and thats just during lights on. Thats right around 25 tanker trucks full. In my little burg that would probably raise a few eyebrows in the water department. We do have well water at our warehouses so it seems like a damn good idea. I wonder if you could run one outside and one inside and pump glycol in a closed loop? Hell why not they are cheap I think I'm going to give it a try. This thread has already been very useful thanks for the tips.

That's what I'm looking at... I looked at heat-exchangers on ebay... it's basically a radiator. So you build a box with a blower for exhaust, put the radiator in front of the intake, buy a deep-freeze freezer or if you have cold temps outside, use that... Freeze a copper coil in a bucket of water in the freezer. Run your liquid through there in a closed loop with some anti-freeze... Probably buy a temp control gadget for the fan...

I mean if you don't have the money to drop on a professionally built unit... and I don't...

just out of curiousity what are yall budgeting per month on the powerbill. if going on california residential rates without subsidizing a 420k would be 84 grand a month here!! (a 5k is typically 1k a month in power..420/5=84) im sure commercial has the hookup, but i bet your power bill will be more than most companies leases...

this is a rough estimate, as usage and weather are static amounts

each veg bulb costs roughly 45 bucks a month to run = 2700.00
each flower bulb costs 30/month = 10800.00 (full throttle)
and each a/c uses about prob 10% of the total monthly lighting bill relative to the whole grow = 1500.00 x 7 = 10500.00

now they get a ag discount which is i believe 30% of the bill.

so lets say, once fully operational, they are looking at give or take 20000 a month. in bc we pay 6 cents a kw/hr with ag discount, 10 cents without discount, d

hey dude. i can guarantee there wont be scrubbers, although i disagree with the logic, in the end i have clients who make the final decision. who knows, maybe they will have a change of heart. il do a tutorial on my medical grow at home and youl see a dmt grow unadulterated, d

Hey Dmt! You don't use scrubbers inside the grow rooms to preserve the smell of the final product or why?

the only thing i notice about scrubbers is low dust and great clean smell in the room. if its a clean hydro set up, medical(legal) and in a barn in the middle of no where, what would you suppose they would benefit for?

i prefer using them, the clients didnt budget for them..... i just show up and do what i do, peace, d

I gotta say, living in Florida and seeing a thread like this, I'm blown the hell away! This state would give me the death penalty for an opp that big and yet you're 100% legal, amazing.
This thread is gonna be epic:ying:

the flood buckts diy style

the flood buckts diy style

so this is the first wave of buckets as promised:

first 4 pics are the 50 buckets for the 3rd week of veg

pic 2 an cross section of pvc was needed to fill all the buckest evenly. the dry run filled 1 have faster without it

pic1 a half filled bucket. with 1 inch pvc to 2 inch takes 5 minute to fill.

pic 3 is the drain vent and f/d line

pic 4, all 50, plus a b52 jug converted to an overflow valve(far end)

the middle pic is the dripper system for the just rooted babies. completely detachable for movabilty. the manafold will be relocated to the wall not the aisle as this prototype is.

the last 2 pics are the shades and there machanisms/ close up of coded wiring, the sdes were donated, i prefer adjustawings or bell lr1ooo for top lighting.

the shades pic(1st pic) shows how the shades are fixed to bullhorns on the far wall and with in hands reach. this is the clients handy work, and is very effective. you can see in the next pic how the nylon rope and a pully make up the machanism, brilliant lol

all the buckest, exept for the first 2 waves will be covered with panda poly, real white out style, d

ps its funny, the whole system sounds like a big toilet flushing when the flood cycle ends and gravity and air send the solution back to the rez below. the plumbers are very impressed with themselves and the new system. they are used to setting up drip systems. you can walk on all the components, they are rated for it. theres a nice walk way between the mainline and the bucket adjacent to it on the next row. even still nice to now the guts can take a licking in any battle.

the veg rez

the veg rez

their plan was to have 2 400 gal rezs for the vg room. ive already cut 1/2 the work, cost and future maintainance fees.

in the first pic, the new lil giant will supply the 2 inchmainline to upstairs where te buckestr are.

this smaller one in hand will supply the first 2 waves of babies with the drippers.

the inch pvc with the blue valve is for the mixer pump. its best to put the outside the rez and send the water back into the top, for optimal mixing and aeration.

gona need a 3 step to mix these rezes as they all will be 400 gallons.

this one will be feeding all 5 waves of plants.

random electrical

random electrical

so the first pic is the 2 inch line going up to the buckest via the lil giant on the other side(obviously lol...)

an in wall vacuum drain will be spaced every 10 feet or so so vacs can be attached and be done with, instead of using a sink or manually dumping outside/garbage. 95% of all vac ing is from water./solutioin/spills

this is a 400 amp fed pine sub panel, and the next pic is the sub sub panel of 150 amps for 1 50 light bloom room

this is the contactor for the high heat kill switch.

this big room will be 3/4 bloom stage and 1/4 work/luch space

last pic is the hall seperating the 2 meispheres of the project, d

Very impressive! Looking forward to seeing the progress...
Would you happen to have a link to an article or guide describing how to run a sealed room? I'd like to try a run at it and could use some more info. Seems you canadians are quite proficient at running them...
Thanks in advance!
