Yeah, pretty much. Every dollar you spend is a vote. I grow weed illegally, pay no taxes, I'm not exactly in any position to take the high road and run around judging people. The average Canadian adult seems to hate pot growers but feels sorry for thieves, I don't understand why, I hate thieves, but whom am I to judge? Most of the gangs that grow weed also rip others grow-ops... clearly it is the illegality of marijuana that creates this behaviour. I grow weed to make money, I buy stolen products to save money, as Jesus/Yeshua says in the Bible, "For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil."
On the other hand, Police sell confiscated grow equipment, does buying it mean you support the war on drugs? Some hydro stores do that FYI.
DMT, obviously that is my view since my reply in essence corrected your erroneous assumptions about my statements. You need to post links to back up your statements if you want to convince me of anything. But what is the point of that? All I've done is caution you, why argue against caution? Do you want me to be sorry that I'm concerned for medical ops? Do you want me to lie and say that gangs are getting less violent, that medical growers aren't being targeted by rippers? When I was researching to defend myself in court, I never saw any cases against rippers, I know there should be some, so go ahead and convince me.

DMT I understand my friend...luckily I found a group of chinese producers yesterday so I've now got a lead on ballasts..hope it works out for us. Best of luck with the new project.

buying equipment or weed off rippers is despicable, anyone who profits from the rippers thievery, is them self a ripper, which pretty much makes them scum. specially if you have to assume that blood might have been spilled in the process of ripping. how can you even consider using that equipment with blood all over it to grow herb? anything you grow on a foundation of evil will bring you nothing but grief. please think about what you are doing and condoning with your actions. unless in sheer desperation, what can induce you to save a few bucks at the cost of condoning and participating in a self perpetuating cycle of evil.
I've had to repair three of those jolly rogers flip units. The rocker switches are cheap and the push-resets can be faulty. The 120V NEMA 5-15 receptacles would NEVER be allowed by code. If NEMA 5-15 receptacles are used, don't use duplex, use the single receptacles. Sunsystem style receptacles or 600V twistlock receptacles should be used. The ballasts should be protected by breakers, not some cheap push-resets. I have a few issues with how they are built. The 4" cheap axial fans were covered with dust.
I removed the rocker switches and push-resets and replaced one of the units with two-pole 15A/240V breaker x 5, two ballasts per breaker. The other two units, I changed the ballast voltage to 120V and installed 10 x 15A single pole SIEMENS breakers. The customer then wanted a PLC installed to delay the ballasts flipping to one ballast at a time, with one minute intervals. The mechanical timers were replaced with digital AUBE TI033 timers. The duplex receptacles were replaced with single receptacles. The jolly roger is okay, but has areas for improvement.
The wiring inside the jolly rogers was above standard, thermal insulation over each wire. A few design changes, add 10 breakers, easy to mount a 100A/240V copper bus. Change to a digital AUBE TI033 timer. Instead of using mag ballasts, use 10 digital ballasts. Add 20 Sunsystem style receptacles and it's all in one. Probably be about $5000 to build. D&N Electric has a similar unit, but only 4 ballasts per enclosure and not digital ballasts. If there is a market for all-in-one units from 4 to 10 ballasts, let me know, especially if using 10 digital Quantums.
the only time a trimmer is used is when the volenteers forget to remove the popcorn after 2 weeks of flowering.

Dude, I love money, I don't believe in souls. I just don't care about spoiled Americans/Canadians, want me to give a shit? Lets talk about Darfur, or Islam and its practice of female circumcision, Somalia, etc. I don't sweat the small stuff, rape murder and torture is evil, everything else is 'gray' and not a priority. I believe in liberty and your free to think what you will of me, but honestly, I don't care about PeTA or people like me that break the law growing weed.
