Who knows what temp mites die at?

I keep lady bugs in fridge and they dont die just stop moving till you pull them out and they warm up I belive it takes freezing temps to kill mites Females with eggs will retreat till temps come back up and lay eggs
GL with the borg I feel yer pain but i dont think 40 degree air will solve this just slow it down and give you the time you need to kill them proper

The mites will just go dormant with 40f air...the plants will halt all growth and possibly die - so that doesn't seem like a good solution to me. Go with chemical or predator based attach...if you find a predator that will survive lower temps, it will work better since mites don't reproduce very well with lower temps...but I'm an Avid fan personally.

Anyone know .... I have way to many girls growing to sponge wash every leaf :bat: so I was thinking of sucking some nice 40 something air from outside, into the growroom at night... Do any of you think this will work? Would 8 hours be enough or should I do a few days.. I figure the plants will be fine as long as they are not frosted :chin: airs not that cold here... :joint:
The mites will put on little jackets to keep warm. :bat: Try safer soap twice.

my night temps are around 42 outside and 50'ish inside...the mite problem stoped and I havent noticed any ill effects other than blue/purple colors...

not sure if yer a fan of chemicals but i swear by no pest strips
I have read people say they had mites that were imune to them but they seem to work ok on lady bugs i have released before alway dead the next day LOL
Trick to no pest strips as a killer of a mite infested room is to shut off all circulating and exaust fans when ever possible lights on this can be hard cause of temps but lights off turn off all fans so room can stagnate with the chemicals
Wonder if its the smell of the SD that they like I know i love that smell if i were a mite thats where you'd find me

silly, whats up

good luck with the mites, i hate those little bastards if that helps :D

the temps won't kill em, they'd have to freeze solid otherwise they'll just slow down / go dormant. i say from very recent experience. same goes for the humidity, it won't phase them unless the leaves are saturated.

don't know if you're doing hydro or not bro, but i think i was getting mites in my ocean forest from a local garden center.
