who has the cheapest online price for a 4x4 flood tray

like it says here i am looking for a good deal on a ABS flood tray i haven't found the greatest deals, if any one could point me in the right direction i would be very great full, or does anyone have a good tutorial on how to build one i was looking at the Med-man net tables and thinking of doing something similar, i would rather but a molded plastic one though as i see there would be less problems to run into

I can't imagine ordering a 4'x4' plastic tray online would be feasible in terms of shipping costs. Also, depending on the quality of packaging they are likely to come with busted/cracked corners.

Not even sure a shop could ship one without sending via freight/truck.. meaning a semi would have to deliver it. Maybe OK if you are getting a lot of other stuff.. otherwise likely not work it.


My local shop sells X-Trays brand 4x4 in black or white for $100.
You should be able to find similar online for around $70... but then again there is that shipping charge. Try "Growers House" or 1000bulbs if you insist on ordering online.


Otherwise build yourself a wooden tray like med-man and line it with heavy duty pond liner. My 2c.

You can also checkout a "concrete mixing tub" from lowes/homedepot. They are a little smaller, but perhaps you could do a few of them for your needs.

...also,

you mention flood so I assume you're going to flood it. If not I've seen a few folks using corrugated roofing material and building their own tables. Good option if you just need the table to catch and handle run-off without the need of actually flooding it to a certain depth.

cheapest prices and shipping isn't too bad if you're doing something lightweight but trays can be spendy sometimes depending on if they actually ship it or if they send if by freight which is very costly and the only way they would send a large hood to me so I bought it in person. you can use almost any type of container and buy the parts at the store for the water drainage. you just gotta get creative.

thanks guys my problem is there are exactly 0 hydro shops within 400 mile radius i live in the sticks now which is nice but sucks for getting supplies

Look around on amzon, you can normally get better deals from there. It is the same places you see online such as 1000bulb, ect. For some reason they are cheaper on some things on amazon VS going to thier site, must be the compition

The problem with shipping 4x4 grow trays is they take up too much volume for most shippers to take as standard ground. Which means freight shipping, that is kind of pricey depending on where it goes but is a flat rate so if you add 20 gallons of nutrients and a magnum xxxl the shipping won't change at all.

The low tide trays can be shipped ground. Inside of California Ehydro will do them for $20-$30 on the shipping. Putting the final cost somewhere under $100 after sales tax. East coast customers are kind of SOL though, the shipping on 1 tray is usually more than the tray itself which is why they are so expensive on Amazon with "free" shipping.
