Who can still function well while high?

Who can still function while high? When I get high now I am practically useless....I just want to sleep. I used to get energized, happy, creative, when high. I'd love to be able to just do some simple things while high on the weekends....organize music, read, clean,...but I find myself doing nothing instead. Do I need to take a break?

Interesting that you post this...

I am 37 year young woman, and ave noticed i have become ...... well..... ill be to the point...... lazy. I have been wondering if smoking is the cause of this. I am not a heavy smoker , usually only smoke in the evenings, and have been smoking sour bubble exclusively for over a year now.
Maybe i am just getting some years on this once young and active body, and time is creeping up on me, maybe i need to change my strain of choice hmmmm dunno
Am curious to see others thoughts on this .

I made a post earlier about having a "foggy" head after you smoke. It was suggested to take melatonin and lectithin. I've done both and noticed some imporvement. Maybe that will help you :)

Are you just as lazy when not stoned? cos puffs make procrastinators
The ultimate who's who of procrastination the king of well, noTHING... I know i try to puff when i know i dont have a lot to do that day if i puff dutring the day.. i have learned that by this time.. hehe and, still dont get me wrong its hard not to puff even when having lots of things to clear from the to do list.. but this isnt a hard question to answer with all do respect.. Good luck peace..

When I smoke I can pay attention easier. For example, when I have to go to my 10 am Psychology class, I smoke a joint before. A doobie in the morning is just the thing to wake me up and make me pay attention. Granted, I do get a little silly. Maybe you should just get in the routine of toking and doing simple things again. No matter how much you want to hang out on the couch, just get up and run your errands. Maybe being out and about will get you in the mood to be active.

its just easier to sit around and do nothing when your baked. weather or not you do it is up to your own will power. i find smoking weed gives me a more nihilistic outlook on life, which can lead me to be lazy. start thinking wtf is the point of doing anything anyways? you just have to push yourself out of that frame of thought if you really need to do something.

Drink a cup of coffee with your joint. I usually make a pot of coffee to go along with me getting high. Add cream and sugar for a special treat. If your not into coffee, get a 2 liter mountain dew. :D

Well I smoke morning, noon and night. It's really a trade-off. I'm a computer consultant and come into contact with many people during the day, but I'm really a technician at heart -- I don't get off on random pointless chit chat, so I don't do it. Unfortunately, folks like a guy that can solve their problems *AND* alleviate boredom. A puff or two will allow me to have candid conversations with just about anyone on any subject, and as pointless as I see it, I think the end user really appreciates it.

This comes at the cost of a lessened ability to communicate with my peers, which I also have to do. I tend to hit the stoner block where I appear off the radar for a couple seconds while I reorganize my thoughts. This isn't enough to keep me from it because the love and admiration of the IT consultant is hard to come by in this business, and if I can help a customer remember me with a joke or somthing of that nature, I consider it (pot) a tool of the trade.

I find that it has to do with time of day for me. If I'm smoking at night, I will tend to just want to relax if I'm tired. If I'm smoking during the daytime and around the house I tend to clean and do things because its fun high.

Smoke more...it will pass :D

The bud you smoke has a huge amount to do with this. Find yourself some nice sativa smoke that isn't too strong for the daytime when you need to get things done or just don't want to cabbage out on the bed/sofa. I'd recommend C99 or A11.

Save the heavy hitters and indicas for evenings or before you go to sleep.

I like sitting on the couch, I really do. But when I am high, sometimes it really bothers me. Just sitting around and listening to music does not always do it for me when I am high. I wanna move around. Especially when I am outside. I do not wanna sit around in the same spot for 3 hours smoking and listening to music. Turn off the music, get up and walk around. Explore!! I am getting more to the point where I would rather not be stationary while smoking.
As far as smoking before work, hell yes. I worked for 3 years at an animal hospital and every time I went in I was high as a kite. Once you get started, continuing to work is a lot easier than stopping, at least for me.

I make a living as a web developer and spend a lot of time coding/programming. I work for myself from a home office and find that a mid-afternoon session really helps with problem-solving. It definiteley faciliates a 'flow' state for me.

Mind you, I vaporise, not smoke, and I also find this leads to a 'cleaner', more functional high.

cant function w/o it hell. i got no knees and a temper noone should see daily...

a dr would never believe i take no meds other than pot. i can get Anything i want for my missing body parts...i say pain and they ask what i want.
