Oh man, that sucks. I don't know how you manage not to scratch it. Calamine lotion will help, and so will Benadryl. That shit stops the itch instantly. You're just not supposed to use it on large areas of your body.

poison ivy is the worst...have had it 3 or 4 times, lasted 6 months, even a year after, if i'd scratch the area, it would resurface...however this isnt normal and should be gone within a week for you

sucks man. I was out in wooded and areas with alot of veg last season and lucked out. Gonna be back out there this month.

I wear pants and long sleeve shirts and scarf when I go out. ,but alleast Ill be safe, if I dont pass out from a heatstroke this summer. lol

Just gotta watch out for cops (which will never be seen in my spot, hopefull), posion ivy, and ticks....and I should be cool.

Get yourself some "Tecnu" soap, it works on "Poision oak" as we call Ivys equivelent on the west coast. It is mostly meant to be used right after exposure to help prevent rash, but it does help a existing one as well.
I've found that I rarely get it, partly because after living with it all around me for 25 years, I've learned to reconize it, AND STAY THE FUCK OUT OF IT!!, LOL!
Actually I do still get it if my skin gets scratched before I come in contact, thorn bushes and some of the better plot site always seem to be around Poision oak.

If you are a person with a strong reaction to it, I would advise not planting your bud where it comes in contact with it, the oils can contaminate your smoke, and give you severe irritation in your lungs, etc.

i dont get poison ivy or oak. i could roll around in it LOL my friends use some spray that you apply before going near it. i think it coats skin preventing oils from penetrating. not sure tho.

^^that's the best advice. and if you know you have come in contact with it wash immediately. I used to wash with tecnu, but I decided that soap and water works just as well if done in time.

Scratching will not spread it unless you still have the oil on your skin. I don't use anti-itch creams unless it is keeping me from being able to sleep. All you can do is wait a week or two for it to go away.
